The hotel is a serene oasis in the midst of a busy city! Very quiet at night and easy to fall asleep peacefully. Convenient location and walkable to anywhere in Almadies. The property has lovely landscaping, and the staff were so kind, polite and helpful!

Location was great, minutes from lots of restaurants and bars in a very safe area. Staff were kind and helpful. The room was large with a very comfortable bed. The pool in the afternoon was great as well, surrounded by a quiet garden. Overall, the hotel was really nice.

It was unfortunate that the restaurant was closed over the weekend because then I had to leave the hotel (which wasn’t so bad) because I got an opportunity to see the surrounding areas.

For a solo birthday trip, La Résidence felt like home for the time I was in Dakar.

The bathroom was a little humid which led to some mosquitos milling about. There was spray for us to use though.

This beautiful hotel is tucked away on a side street but very near the beach bars on the corniche. The location was incredibly peaceful and the grounds were full of beautiful flowers and birds. I felt very at piece on the property even though we didn’t spend too much time there. The rooms were spacious with really comfortable beds.

Spacious, clean, and modern accommodations. Plus the location was excellent. But the staff were by far what made the stay most special. They made booking, checking in, and my staff super easy and comfortable. I only regret not staying longer.

The pool was a little cold for my taste as it was not heated. We had a poor meal in the restaurant- I don’t recommend the quiche.

Enormous and comfortable bed. Spacious room with balcony. Nice breakfast including omelettes cooked to order. Outdoor pool and comfortable seating area. Close to beach and plenty of restaurants. Very clean hotel.

The staff was kind but the reception was not very attentive and helpful. We had to constantly remind them about our taxi booking or our laundry. For the standard of this establishment we would expect higher customer service.

Please make sure to state food allergies and intolerances beforehand (and be ready to remind the staff constantly). I'm gluten and lactose intolerant and allergic to melon. The breakfast was basically pastries, yoghurt, and mixed fruits (with melon). They managed to include other fruits and prepared an omelette for me every day (thank you!). There was also an inconvenience with the transfer from the airport. It wasn't there when I arrived, waited for 30 min and never came. I had no way to call, so I took a taxi. Fortunately, the driver could reach them by phone and got the indications to reach the place.

La Résidence is the perfect getaway: the staff is friendly, beds are comfortable, I fell asleep to the sound of sea, birds chirp in the morning, had the swimming pool all for me! I went on a business trip and was looking forward to going back to La Résidence every day! The cook was especially nice: on my last day, I wanted to eat maad again, but they didn't have any in the kitchen. So he found someone to bring it to me directly before I had to go to catch my flight!

The mosquito nets in our room had holes. A mini fridge would have made the room even more comfortable.

The building is cosy and comfortable, the courtyard is absolutely beautiful with a lovely pool, the staff were all really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great. We really appreciated being able to spend time in the garden after check out.
