Very welcoming and great location by the sea. Rooms clean and view lovely. Beautiful leafy courtyard. Some distance from the centre of town but a relief from the bustle of the city.

Great value for the money. We had bug net on windows and around the bed. Hot water in the shower, you can see the ocean from the roof. Street is not busy, can park car next to a hotel door. Overall I'm really happy with my stay.

The room was dark even with light on. Bathroom rather old and shabby

The owner was very welcoming and helpful. She sent someone to company me to an ATM. And the taxi next morning was waiting at the time I wanted to leave

The host planned my tour of Dakar and arranged for a guide and a vehicle to get me around. She also arranged for my drop off to the airport. Though I had seen earlier comments on extra charges for air-conditioning this was never put on my bill despite spending four nights at the establishment.

Don't expect rooms to be up to european standards they aren't but don't let that put you off. I would stay again just due to the staff.

The staff were brilliant. Good support and help when required.

It's quite simple. But friendly and good bookshelves for book swaps!

Ruth is very welcoming. Her place is very nice in a quiet area for Dakar. We got nice moka coffee with breakfast and the rooms were very comfortable.

the room we had (without airco) had a lot of Dead Mosquito's against the wall, all in their own puddle of blood (blood they got from other people). the walls where dirty, paint was missing, and there where big moisture stains. so it wasn't cleaned in a long time. the fan was not installed correctly, so it made a lot of notice and movement when it's on the highest setting. strange was that the bed and floor was perfectly clean.

safe parking for the motorcycle, friendly staff, 1st floor looked good.

Note that English is not really spoken here also that AC costs extra. There are no real restaurants around the property but if you download Yango you can easily take a cab for $3 to several places.

A nice and simple place to stay. Great if you are looking for an authentic room and quiet place. Wifi worked decently well. Nice view and easy walk to the beach - although note that the beach has a fair bit of plastic on it. Beautiful sunrise though and good swimming. Staff were nice and usually helpful. Breakfasts were good and extras were inexpensive. If you don't mind staying a bit further away from downtown and taking cheap cabs, you will feel like you get your own space/sanctuary and add some commute time every day, while savings a fair bit of money.

Dakar might be not such stable during the recent years, but, this is a wonderful and worthy capital I suggest you to visit. So enjoy your stay!

This lovely house is just near the Yoff beach, you can easily take your time every morning and evening to walking alone the beach and enjoy the soft sea breeze and charming sunset. Staffs are friendly and helpful. I knew that Dakar and even the whole country is suffering during this time, but fingers crossed for the people here and the good persons I have met. Thank you so much!

All a bit old, but overall cannot complain. Takes long travel time if one needs to go to Dakar city like port or Place de l'Independance, but that's Dakar. Huge city.

Great location near Yoff beach, many eating options there. Also not far from Gambia Transport bus depot. Area seems pretty safe also at night Major shops to get things done nearby Spacious clean room Good wifi Very friendly staff and owner, can feel like at home. Very good breakfast on a lovely terrace

When we made a booking, there is air conditioning in the room facility. However what I was surprised is that AC is additional cost when we check in. I found with their help that it was written in the other section of the confirmation page. It looks like very tricky.

Far away from the city center and the other sights (up to one hour by taxi).

Great and helpful stuff. When I was a bit sceptical how to travel as a solo female, Ruth took the time to explain to me where to travel and how. Everybody of the stuff was very nice. Great location, 300m from the beach. Enclosed quarter, so it's safe. Restaurants close by.

Bathroom (water didn't drain in the shower) Price (expensive for 1 person compared to the value,, but unfortunately that is what I experienced all over Senegal if I compared prices with East and South African countries)

Loved the location, it's next to the beach in Yoff, possible to go and eat some delicious grilled Fish in just 5 mins. Breakfast was very nice with great variety of jam Owner and staff helps in anything

Hotel staff helps with all you need: taxi, money changing, drinks etc. F.e. we wanted to go to the south of Senegal, they arranged a reliable driver and lots of useful info. English is very good(no Dutch:-(...) and Mme Ruth is native german speaking. Rooms are not new, but shower and beds are good. Location is not central, but close enough: between 4 and 10 euro, taxi takes you everywhere in town.

the choice of good restaurants was an issue for me; luckily one of the members of staff, Issa, knew of an excellent restaurant where i pretty much ate each day. very careful in planning transportation in Dakar; the traffic jams are horrendous; the taxis are expensive as Africa goes.

all the staff at this hotel are very honest, helpful and friendly; always ready to help with a smile; another great aspect the desk was manned 24/7; very helpful. my morning breakfast was simple but very tasty and filling; my room was basic but it had everything i needed for my 4 nights stay; the internet worked well, as and when i needed it; this hotel is in a safe neighbourhood; so walking around and coming back before 10pm was not a concern at all; enough power sockets for all my electrical gadgets; this hotel does to and from airport transfer.
