Great stay…staff was excellent and loved the location.

We had a nice stay at this hotel in San Marino. The location was great, right in the heart of the historic center, surrounded by beautiful medieval streets and charming squares. From the hotel, we were able to reach all the main attractions on foot within just a few minutes, which made exploring the city very easy and enjoyable.

What I didn’t like was the check-in experience. We arrived around 13:50 and the room was not ready, so we were asked to come back in 30 minutes. After taking a short walk, we returned around 14:25, but the room was still not ready. At that point there was a different person at reception, who told us we would need to wait another 30 minutes. In the end, we couldn’t access our room until almost 15:30, which was quite inconvenient, especially in the heat of the day.

Noisy room below the kitchen - first night was awful and the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t change rooms. We felt ripped off and questioned why they even offered that room for rent. And, no one mentioned, oh by the way, it’s below the kitchen and WILL get noisy. Felt they should have rebated the cost of that night. Be careful with room selection.

We were only there for one evening and we ate out so we only used our room not other facilities.

The room was lovely, big and clean. The stuff were super nice and helpful.

It was a cold whether and the blanket was thin, and the heating wasn't working, so they brought us a small heater.

The mattress was very uncomfortable in our room. It was clearly two twins pushed together and each of us kept rolling into the crack. Sheets were very stiff and only a light blanket. The only negative of our stay was the bed but that does make a difference when youre trying to get rest

We liked the location in the heart of the old town and the view from the room window overlooking the valley was really lovely. The restaurant on the terrace is definitely recommended, great food and nice view. The hotel is also kid-friendly.

Nothing it was good

The central location is fantastic. It cannot get much better than that if you search for a place in the heart of San Marino. Also, the reception staff was very helpful and kind.

Value for money was unfortunately poor: We had a noisy suite (lowest level of the building) in which you could heard the bar next door as well as everything that was spoken in the neighbouring hotel room („suite“). Besides that we expected a bit more comfort for the price: the suite was a pretty standard hotel room with slightly outdated furniture that showed clear signs of usage from throughout the years.
