How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

everything insanely overpriced. fe dinner 40euro, u would not want to pay more than 10eur for. (Worst quality for a 3*+ hotel i can remember for many years) Service at dinner underwhelming. Massage 50min 78eur definitely not worth more than 30, substandard. 2 glasses of mediocre wine for 18euro, u d pay less than half anywhere else around. Overall not bad if u d somehow get 50%(+) of ur money back and decided to eat elsewhere. Very bad value for ur buck even comparing to much more expensive countries in EU

Some staff speak little or no English, I find this unacceptable for an international five star hotel. Older members of staff who do not speak English and are unwilling to learn it, should be replaced by younger members of staff who can. This caused embarrassment in particular whilst trying to view and book a treatment slot for the mud pool

Verified reviewThe Hotel and Spa were absolutely lovely and I would totally recommend and also return here myself. It's a bit pricey but it also offers a lot of services. We stayed for 2 nights and also paid a bit extra for late check-out (which is until 6 pm, that's great!). Breakfast was good, dinner was good, they do special breakfast requests with mini menu at the table for no extra cost if buffet is not to your liking. Dinner is accompanied by music. We came here for a birthday and they made it very special - with song from staff, decorated table at dinner time, cake with a candle and bottle of prosecco in the room. We also got free welcome drink card at the bar and two drinks at cute Xmas market they have right outside the hotel. SPA is also lovely, they have thermal outdoor pool and normal swimming pool indoors, jacuzzi and 3 saunas. You can get towels and sauna-sheets right at the entrance to this SPA/relaxation zone. We tried massage (great) and interesting combination of "glass/thermal bath" and "mud bath". Mud one was so hot, but also unique experience, was fun. Premises are old villa/castle inspired and well kept, looks beautiful. Staff is very kind and friendly.
The only somewhat of an item would be very loud air-conditioner/warmer during winter in our room. I'm not sure if the sound came from bathroom or bedroom. In the living room it was loud, but around 6.30-6.50 am it would switch on and if you are a light sleeper might keep you up. I think this is only because our room was last on the wing, I doubt this is an issue in other rooms. (room was great otherwise, spacious).
