How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Quiet cozy apartment located close to the Nivy mall/bus station (<10 min walk). Owner very responsive and accommodating, the instructions could not have been clearer. The apartment's layout and amenities very well thought through, appreciated the little details like coffee/tea/bottled water.

The only thing I could say that I didn’t like was the pillows other than that the accommodation was perfect and I’d recommend to anyone who visits Bratislava
Very comfy bed and very well decorated also set in a lovely location as there is a huge shopping center nearby

The cleanliness of the apartment is perfect as well as the communication with the owner. The walking distance to the main bus station is less than 10 minutes.

The key had to be picked up from the bus station if you arrive late at night. It's a slight inconvenience

The lock on the front door can be improved. It works, but a more robust lock would increase the safety feeling. Also the tv was very slow and hard to use, but i guess ppl not travel to watch tv
The apartman alltogether is well put together, in a nice place, in a good building, and had everything we needed. For this price it was a very good accomodation.

The apartment is on the first floor, so if you have heavy luggage, it will require some effort to carry up. However, the stairs are wide enough to make it manageable. Despite this, it’s definitely worth staying at this place.
The host, Adriana, was very clear with her instructions from the beginning, which was extremely helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and soft, and the heating system worked perfectly for the winter. It truly felt like a home. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the utensils you need to cook. There's a lovely jogging park visible from the window, and the apartment is conveniently located near a large shopping mall. The top floor of the mall features an international food court.

If I was being really picky having no blinds on the kitchen window made it a bit bright in the morning, but all in all just loved the place.

Nothing. It is not in the city center but not far. It has a bus station and a mall 2 min walking
Very nice apartment, clean and with a lot of natural light. The owners were very nice and let me do the check in earlier. They were very helpful.

Very clean location. Extremely nice, kind host. We had everything we needed, we felt at home. Everything was superlative. The recommendation message was very well explained. I found the location very quickly and easily thanks to the pictures sent by the host. The pictures from booking are real! The studio looks great! I recommend with love!

Nothing to dislike, the apartment is a bit distant from the old town but very easy to reach it even by foot (about 20 minutes - totally flat, pleasant walk).
The apartment is extremely clean and very comfortable, specially the bed and the shower. The owner was always quick to reply and allowed us to have a earlier check-in, which was very helpful due to our time of arrival and a tour that we have booked.
