Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWish we could have stayed longer.
We had no plans to stay here but we're so impressed with the wine tasting and cellar tour hosted by Dominic that we booked a night at this unique boutique hotel. Impeccably restores building and spotlessly clean. The food menu is excellent as well. Across the street from the main railway and one of the bus stations, so easy transportation access. Old Town is about a 15 minute walk down the street. Highly recommended!

AustraliaThe room was lovely and better than what I was expecting looking at the area. Very comfortable and quiet. Close to the railway station was a plus for us. Ready to catch a train into town too.

Clean rooms, comfy beds :-), excellent breakfast, friendly staff and convenient location near the main train station: you need to cross a busy road but there is a pedestrian bridge over it, we travelled from the airport to the main train station by one direct bus and then walked to the hotel . It is not too far from the old city, neither, we walked both ways as it was easy to get there (we like walking), although there is public transport that can take you everywhere if you prefer.

United KingdomThe rooms are old school hotel rooms and there is not enough electric plugs to charge your devices. The road nearby is quite noisy.

Germany- When the room you’ve got is the one facing the main road like mine, expect of course that there would be noise.
- The nearest bus stop is less than 5 mins walk. - Breakfast was great. Although I arrived 30mins before the end of buffet time - they’re still a lot on the table. - Aircon. - Bed is comfortable. - Staff is very helpful.

United KingdomIt feels a little out of town but actually isn’t that bad.
This is a great value for money option in Bratislava. It’s a little out of town and borders a busy road but the rooms are quiet and big and it’s a traditional/honest hotel run by locals. Good breakfast too

The staff were exceptionally kind and polite throughout my visit. As I had to leave early and couldn't stay for breakfast, they thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for me to take in the morning. The on-site restaurant was just as impressive — delicious food and outstanding service.

United KingdomThe only criticism I can level against the hotel is the absence of a bar.
The choice at breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, welcoming and comfortable. I could recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bratislava.

IrelandThere was a busy road in front of the hotel.
Good sized comfortable room with plenty of seating, including a small table and two upright chairs, and an armchair. Unusually there was a separate toilet next to the bathroom. Good choice of food at breakfast. Had a delicious meal in the wine cellar, with excellent service and the hotel vinyard's very good Matyšák wine. Throughout the hotel there were attractive paintings of rural scenes. The hotel shop beside the entrance was convenient.

United Arab EmiratesWhat I didn’t enjoy was the attitude of the receptionist. I’m not sure if it was due to a language barrier or just a cultural difference, but I didn’t feel welcome. It’s a hospitality business, and a little warmth or politeness would go a long way. Unfortunately, I felt like my simple questions were treated as an inconvenience.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from both the train station and the intercity bus station, which makes it very convenient. It’s very clean and well-maintained, and most of the main sights were within a 20-minute walk, so the location is excellent. The breakfast was pretty good. Overall I enjoyed the staying

United KingdomOnly one thing really there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but this was compensated for by a minibar.
Really nice hotel, a little way out of town (20min walk), but close to bus stop 5 min to town. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was really good once in price. Highly regarded restaurant on site ( I personally did not try it) and fantastic shop on site selling there own wines at reasonable prices
