How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The small window between room and bathroom.
Cozy hotel with excellent location, near the old city center and with a stunning view on Bratislava Castle. Hotel provides delicious breakfast.

Hard to name anything
Absolutely fabulous hotel with so many facilities available. I enjoyed the bath and the bathrobe, the staff was very helpful and kind. We even got some guidance from them where to visit around the city! This was actually helpful, and me and a friend enjoyed our stay. And also check-out at 12:00, sauna and gym available, coffee machine in the room. Great experience!

Excellent stay at Falkensteiner Hotel Bratislava! The location is perfect, close to the old town and main attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and always attentive to details. An ideal choice for a successful city break in Bratislava!

The hotel is incredibly well situated- we got the bus from Bratislava-Petrzalka and crossed the road- there it was! At the foot of the castle (and near some delicious restaurants) and across the road from the old town. Amazing. We were in a top floor room and had access to the lounge which was fantastic, and the view from our room was of the castle. The room was spacious with the most massive bathroom! The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. We didn’t try the downstairs bar as we had access to the lounge but it was always occupied and the bartenders seemed very friendly!

Extraordinary breakfast, with anything one might ever want. As hotel breakfasts go, this is top of class. Professional, courteous staff who helped sort out a tricky travel/car problem with attention to detail and a drive to find a solution. Highly recommended.

Wish the air conditioner in the room made the room a bit more cooler. Omelette counter at breakfast could be improved by adding more people to meet the demand
Staff were very helpful. They let us do early checkin and late checkout free of cost. Breakfast was varied and excellent. Location of the property was amazing. Linda from reception was very warm and welcoming. She helped us with maps and recommendations for places to visit, good places to eat and advised to use bolt instead of taxis on the road.

Upselling by staff was a bit too much.
Modern, clean and comfortable hotel, located at walking distance from the center in a very safe neighborhood. Very dog friendly too!

Great location just outside of old town. Bus stop to main rail station right outside. Very close to castle. Staff super helpful and polite. Rooms clean and today with big bathroom.

The spa advertised could have been better kept, cleaner, more Maintained and with more facilities. I wouldn’t pay for that spa.

The parking garage is good with a straight access to the hotel with an elevator. but the price of 32€… i mean is it unreasonably expensive
Really nice as well as for a one night stay or longer. The Old Town is just five minutes walking. The room’s size is good, but the half of it takes up the spacious bathroom providing a bath and nice small supplies. The breakfast is great, everything you need for a nice meal — the guy, who cooks u a variety of eggs u d like was extremely nice and all the waitresses too. The rooms price is justified completely. We couldn’t have heard the road(4th floor) so it’s fine for sleeping quite well + it wasn’t really loud

The room is comfortable and well equipped, the breakfast selection is the best I've ever had in a hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. I've stayed at the Falkensteiner Hotel in Bratislava several times and have always been more than satisfied.

Absolutely nothing we loved it
I loved the special add ons you guys did for my birthday. There was abit of a mishapp with the doorkeys but was worth it in the end. We loved the welcoming staff and cleanliness.
