Reviews of Youth Hostel Proteus Postojna

First visit to a Youth hostel with my family. Kitchen facilities were excellent, rooms were clean and tidy with comfy beds. We share a 2 bunk (4bed) room as a family of 4.

A couple of activities that we felt the website led us to believe were on site (archery and rifle shooting) weren't. The staff weren't able to help us or give any further information on them other than to point us in the direction of another website.

Super friendly staff-we left something in our room and they kindly shipped that to us! Possibility to print and scan documents, which we really needed at that time! We had a great hostel experience! Would stay again!

That there were many opportunities for active recreation for children, e.g. giant tetris

That we received different information about breakfast upon arrival. Upon check-in, we were informed that breakfast will be free for my son (8), but in the morning they told me that we must pay for his breakfast as well.

I liked how neat and clean everything was for a hostel. Staff were really friendly and helpfull.

Noise on the hallway, but theres nothing the staff could do about it, because its not their fault.

The room was spacious and very clean. Staffs were kind enough. Garden and front yard was good.

Maybe to upgrade the bathrooms

It would be even good if not the cleaning ladies made noise between 5 and 6 a.m. !!! Is it really necessery to unload the dishwasher at night??? Interesting that public kitchen wasn't still clean in the morning...

Comfortable beds, clean facilities, shady park area around building, free parking, cheap breakfast, nice kitchen to cook for yourself.

Noisy people and kids at the accommodation, loud door opening -closing.

Good price, clean room, toiletes and free showers.

It could be noisy at evening and night because a lot of youth people.

The property was easy to find, it is up on a hill, surrounded by trees. The staff was friendly and really helpful with accommodating us and guiding where to park. The rooms were clean, the kids had fun in bunker beds. Hot running water in the shower.The toilets were clean. The hostel looks nice and I was happy to come here with my family. I remembered the days when I was a student back in college. :)

Just one toilet for women and one for men. The shower cabin does not have its own light. A church bell started to ring every 15 min at 6 am. At 8 there was a longer song. Maybe because it is St. Mary's holiday...I don't know if this is every day.That was my alarm for waking up:)
