It takes a while to walk through the building to the "hostel" rooms so consider this when booking if you are less able to walk.

Great place to stay in the very centre of Maribor. The staff were brilliant we had an issue with our room and when it could not be sorted we were moved to another room with no fuss. So we were really happy about this. The location is great as it's so close to a lot of the attractions of Maribor.

1) It was undergoing some renovation so I needed to carry my luggages walking up and down one floor during check-in and check-out. 2) The automatic energy-saving lamp outside the window was very busy during night time when someone walking nearby. If the opaque curtain could be wide enough to cover the whole window width, it would be helpful to eliminate the disturbance during sleep. 3) If the bed could be more firm, it would have been better for the spine (personal preference only).

Bathroom way too small, dirt under the bed, it was very warm in August, the room felt like a greenhouse even with the ceiling fan.

The building is a bit unusual. You need to walk long distances indoors to reach your room. Maybe it was a monastery.

The location is amazing, all attractions are in walking distance. The hostel is clean. Staff speaks good English and German and is very professional.

The room is a bit tired and smelled of smoke. There is a ceiling fan but no a/c which some might consider a limitation. But at this price for a single room with ensuite you cannot really complain!

The bed was way to soft for me (personal preference). It's not the cleanest place on Earth, but given the price and the purpose it was absolutely ok.

I have known this hotel since fifty (!) years ago. A lot has changed it is now part of the French B&B chain, comfortable lower middle class hotels that sprung up all over Europe in the last twenty years. At least this property is a rare exception to their concept by being a hostel. Since it otherwise maintained their standard it was a reasonable stay although nothing to write home about.

The ceiling fan speed is fixed, and so we can't adjust it to our liking. The window curtain was also too short! No matter how I pulled it, there will still be part of the window that would be exposed to the outside!

The location was near the centre where most of the attractions are. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that the room also has a ceiling fan which helps to cool the room during the hotter summer months. Value for money!

The single room waa tiny The tv waa positioned in a way that i couldn't watch .The breakfast costs 15 euros, it was already included in the reservation but really it was not worth. Big variety yes, but not too tasty. Coffee also was not good

Since there is no air-conditioning in the room, it might be a problem in summer when the temperatures exceed +30 C. If you keep windows open, one can hear noises from outside, since the hostel is located in the city center.

Breakfast is very good. Location is excellent. Good option for one or two nights.
