Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandOur room was a bit small and the view was not very special, but I guess it has to do with the fact that it's an old traditional Piran house located in a very tight and narrow street.
I really liked the building itself - old and traditional. Location was superb - in the very heart of Piran old town. Rooftop was amazing for morning coffee and sunsets vibes. Common areas were clean and well organized. I liked the fact that owners left some coffee and lemonade for everybody in the building to use. Self check-in was very quick and easy. Owners were responsive and kind. Bonus - Holywood blockbuster 'Union' from 2024 was filmed partially in that location. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends!

NetherlandsThe bunk bed was squeaky. The airco was not in the best state. You have to pay extra for a towel.
Beautiful location in the narrow streets of Prian, close to Tartini Square. Nice (shared) rooftop terrace, and nice to have a shared refrigerator to keep sime food cold.

FranceThe room was very narrow and I was alone so I can't imagine for two ... The room isn't at all noise-proofed from the staircase but very well from the outside . The mattress had a bed sheet but the light quill had no linen , there were no linen available and you had to pay a 2€ fee if you wanted a towel.
I liked the idea of a typical Piran House ,narrow and high with a small terrasse on the top. The kitchen was a nice facility where you easily meet people. The access at the front door was easy too. The air conditioning system is easy to manage.

The name intentionally or not but is misleading. This is a HOSTEL at least the rooms we ended up booking. Beds were pretty comfy. Close to the beach.

RomaniaThe host provided complete and detailed instructions on how to reach the accommodation from the recommended parking area, including helpful information about the parking fee. The directions felt a bit like an escape room experience, which made the “path” to the room fun and interesting! The city is absolutely beautiful, and the building itself is stunning. For extra comfort, we should have chosen a larger room, but it was sufficient for a one-night stay. Even though the bathroom was shared, it was very clean and well-maintained. Overall, a very enjoyable experience in a wonderful setting!

United KingdomThe air con in my tiny room didn't work so it was boiling hot and very uncomfortable. The other room was fine. If you are in a car you have to park outside the town and get a bus in - the parking is very expensive. Not the owner of this house's fault but it's worth bearing in mind. I think it's worth the travel though.
The location and history of the house was amazing. It was right in the middle of the most beautiful part of Piran, which is definitely worth a visit. The rooftop terrace was amazing and it was good to have a shared kitchen. Shared bathrooms were clean.

ChileThe room was a little bit small and there were not place to hang the towels and things like that (considering that we were going to the beach every day) but other than that is a great option.
Really clean, the kitchen and bathrooms were perfect and organized, someone went there to clean everyday. The location was also very good and they even left some cute presents for when we arrived.

IndiaRoom is a small...towels are charged 2 Euros...and the bath and toilet is a floor below....difficult to access at night. Be careful with heavy luggage due to narrow steep stairs and cobbled streets....
Centrally located....traditional house...and a great value for money... Gregor was always responding to all queries promptly... The room even had an aircontioner...and I loved the welcome message ... The Central Tartini square is just a few steps away...there is no need to walk uphill at all....
