Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe only real disappointment was the absence of complimentary water in the room. We arrived late in the evening, after a long day in 36°C heat, and of course we were thirsty. The only option was bottled water from the minibar at €15.50 – which felt excessive. We travel a lot, and almost every hotel of this level usually provides at least two small bottles of water as a welcome gesture.
Everything was excellent! The room was quite spacious and I really appreciated the attention to small details in the bathroom – cotton pads, shower cap, sewing kit and more. The disposable slippers were also a great touch. The reception staff were very kind and welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights, and after the first day our towels were replaced and the room was cleaned. As someone who is a big fan of fresh white towels and crisp hotel linen – I was impressed! Breakfast was very diverse, with plenty of options for everyone. Personally, I only missed some fresh greens like salad leaves, arugula, spinach, etc.

United KingdomEverything was better than expected. Thank you.
Check in was perfect, helpful and informative plus a glass of fizz. The room was great. Motorcycle parking free and safe. 20 to old town, good directions. Top breakfast. I would recommend eating at Hisa Pod Gradom in the old town.

CroatiaBreakfast? Everything is ok at breakfast, it would be good if there were pancakes, but there aren't Price, maybe a little expensive, Parking is really too expensive because it doesn't make sense to pay ten euros for parking in the hotel yard. That must be included in the price and must be free.
Everything is actually very nice, small, but nice. I was accommodated in a small room on the ground floor, but the room actually had everything you need. Plenty of trash cans, good TV, very nice and full mini bar, safe, great shoehorn, teas, wardrobe with light, large and clear mirror The bathroom is very nice, but a little lacking is the additional door to the shower cabin because no matter how careful you are when showering, half of the bathroom still gets wet when you shower. Pillows, bed? Pillows are good, there are small and large ones to choose from, the bed is good, comfortable

United KingdomThe parking is a bit of an issue, we were lucky enough to get parked in the car park but extra charges for parking seemed unnecessary. If we didn’t get a space in the car park we would have had to park on the road which I wouldn’t have felt was safe and would have also been expensive. Was a little way away from the city centre, about 20 minute walk but that wasn’t a huge problem.
Service was brilliant and the room was absolutely stunning!! Breakfast was delicious. Very clean and beautifully presented throughout.

GreeceThe only thing I could mention was an unexpected blackout taking place the last three days of our stay, which concerned only the lights of our room. They switched off and after a few minutes they switched on again without us doing anything. I mentioned it at the reception when I checked out and they noted it so as to take care of it. It wasn't that important though, in comparison with the overall enjoyable stay!
The location was perfect and near everything you need. The staff as well as the facilities are efficient enough and help you enjoy your days in Ljubljana to the most! Breakfast adds to the whole experience as it includes many options with a few alterations some days!

FinlandIn general there was nothing major, I can recommend this hotel. That being said, the coffee machines at the breakfast were annoying, there were plashes at the walls in the hotel room, the water pressure in shower could be better, the shampoo rack in the shower was quite poor.
It is a nice new hotel with nice rooms with good air conditioning. The location is calm near Tivoli Park and about 15minutes walk to the city centre. Breakfast has some local aspects eg. cakes, paprikas and has many options to choose from. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to others

United KingdomFresh orange juice please (seemingly a rarity in Slovenian hotels...), and decaffeinated coffee as an option (another rarity...).
Very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, nice breakfast. Not in the historic centre but, if you go with a car, it allows parking and is still close enough to the old city (plus it is by the stunning park, so you can walk though it).

GermanyI would have loved to have a cappuccino from the high end coffee machine for breakfast, rather than the automatic machine;)
The hotel is located in a quiet street with on street parking available for a few euros. On the Weekends the street parking is for free. Walking into the city is just 15 minutes through a very nice park. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are spacious. Service and breakfast are both excellent. We only stayed one night but would definitely come back! Can definitely recommend!

AustraliaNothing to report
We had to find another hotel in a hurry as the Airbnb we booked had a whole bunch of issues, and was not as advertised. We needed somewhere close to the other couple we were travelling with, and we stumbled on to the Tivoli, and booked it. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was included and was great. It seems like a very new hotel and everything worked as advertised. It was like an oasis compared to the previous nights accom.

TurkeyThe only thing I can mention is that the coffee and tea from the breakfast machine weren't very tasty or hot. But in my opinion, this is not a big issue considering all the other positive aspects.
I really liked the hotel. Its location and cleanliness were great, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast served was also excellent, with everything fresh and delicious. The hotel was very quiet, and it was located in a peaceful neighborhood. It wasn’t far from the city center either — it was within walking distance, and the walk from the nearby park to the city center was really enjoyable. For all these reasons, I would love to visit and stay there again.

New ZealandLoved it all.
We arrived late from the airport, just for a one night stay. There is free parking on the streets overnight and on Sundays, which we easily found a park nearby. Our room and in particular bed was extremely comfortable, the most comfortable bed and best airconditioning we had while in Slovenia, I had the best sleep of the trip! Breakfast was lovely and nice to sit out in the courtyard, I'd highly recommend. Easy 20minute walk through the park to town.
