Beautiful views and very friendly staff. The building itself is nice.

I thought the room was freezing cold (August) and the room is a bit uncomfortable. Not the nicest smelling place.

We got a room with a view to the mountains, there was a shutter on the window, and a closet too (not in every room), so we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the staff was really nice. We stayed for 5 nights, and they asked after a couple of days if they should change our sheets and if everything was ok. The breakfast and the food at their restaurant are delicious. At night, you can sometimes see the milky way if you go out for a bit.

There was a big itchy blanket wrapped in a clean sheet instead of a duvet, which we didn't really like, but it was ok.

The food was delicious and the view was unbeatable!

The most affordable "single bed in a mixed dormitory" option was not described well in the listing. The attic photos were not in the initial photos of the whole property, only on the room option itself, which can be easily missed when one thinks they've already seen the whole property. In reality the "dormitory" is a 4th floor storage attic converted to "sleeping quarters", only accessible by a steep and tight attic ladder, with about 15 twin beds on the floor; no windows, little to no ventilation, the low ceiling joists caused guests to hunch down to reach their beds or change clothes. It was like an oven in August. I think explaining that the shared bathrooms/showers/fire extinguishers were down the ladder on the floor below would have been nice to mention in the listing, especially for older guests. I'm fine without A/C, but not if there is no window to open for air flow. I spent a lot of time researching lodging for this trip and would have appreciated knowing what I was getting into before I booked; the lodge had no availability to upgrade to a better space...so I ended up sleeping in my rental car instead. The staff apologized but ultimately there was nothing more to offer (no extra fans, alternative sleeping quarters, etc) except a free breakfast in exchange for the miscommunication. I hope they might change the listing description for the "attic dorm" to help guests understand the situation up there.

Incredibly friendly staff and just a great atmosphere in general. Rooms are clean,, and so are the other facilities. Breakfast is lovely, including freshly baked croissants and eggs cooked to your liking. For lunch/dinner they also offer great quality local food and drinks. And the location couldn't be any better in the middle of the mountain pass and wirh plenty of hiking trails going right past the lodge. Would absolutely come back here!

Very friendly and helpful staff. There are many trails that start right at the doorsteps; easy ones, via ferratas but also high mountain trails. Really great location for a few day stay with friends!

There is no access to the kitchen for guests. No option to cook self made meal. The kitchen closes at 8 pm. The only option to cook meal when coming back late from hiking is to go outside with camping cooking set and cook there. Infrequent local transport (bus) service from the valley. Difficult to do food shoping regurarly, also difficult to get there in less than half day from Lhubjliana. If one arrives to Ljubljiana in the afternoon one can get to Kranjska Gora only. Taxi from Kr. Gora are usually unavailable and pricy (40 Euros).

Setting is beautiful. Staff friendly. Accommodation is comfy. Bar and restaurant has great atmosphere and good food. They provide towels for showers

For showering they give you a token for 3-4 mins in shower which isn't always enough. No cooking facilities if this is a consideration for you.

I found it wonderful! Very kind people managing the place. Easy going and comfortable place for travellers.

The only suggestion I have is that the sleeping room under the roof should be made safer. There are no ways to escape in case of fire. The roof is made of wood. The room is made of 20 beds more or less and there are steep wood stairs to go in the floor just below. This is the only improvement I strongly suggest to the hosts, it could be dangerous otherwise.

The location on the top of the Vrcic pass makes it an amazing place to set out on a myriad of hikes especially the hike to Slem one of the finest hikes in Slovenia. The ever-changing view from our bedroom in the evening and early morning was spectacular. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs.

Great location at the Vrsjc pass. Stunning views and a good starting point to go on trekking nearby / down to Trenta and the Soca River valley. The stuff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are o.k. though a bit small. I stayed at the dormitory 3 people room. Comfy beds. Good value for money.

    No complaints

The approach of staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. And we really appreciated the heater for drying clothes, as it was raining during the whole day. The view from the place was breathtaking and the sheep were a cherry on top. Plus the breakfast was very good. Definitely recommend!
