Property was well equipped and staff were helpful Room was very good - clean, very comfortable bed and extremely spacious. Offset by small bathroom with lukewarm water. Breakfast was excellent. Very imaginative, good quality and plentiful.

For me, the downstairs area was too cluttered and a bit precious. But, I am sure it appeals to others. Bed linen was scratchy Location is a bit off the beaten path. Restaurant at the hotel closed on a Sunday night. Hotel offered a very good alternative. But, was 20 minutes away. Had we known upfront, we probably would have made alternative arrangements

Staff were excellent, as was the food. We really felt at home here and felt relaxed after our stay

Nothing, it’s great!

Felt like being an old friend from the minute we walk through the reception. Not just that, we were upgraded, and exact words were “why not, we can” Peace, tranquility, comfort, friendliness, great ORGANIC food.

The outside area and pool, dining room.

Our bedroom - uncomfortable, cluttered, no wardrobe/closet, lights on bed difficult to reach, shower curtain too short, bathroom flooded, husband slipped and cut arm. Had to crawl over bed - up against wall. The manner in which we were dealt with when we politely asked to leave early. “You booked the cheapest room” was the response. €464.13 prepaid. and stayed 2 nights…No refund offered or asked for.

Great staff very friendly

Very quiet location. Nice, very cosy and relaxing accomodation. Very friendly stuff. All bio and local food for breakfast and dinner.

Water in the pool is a little bit too cold for my taste. If you don’t have dinner in the hotel there isn’t a lot of restaurant near by.

OVERRATED and OVERPRICED: The „BIOHOTEL StDaniel“ is rather a „Bed and Breakfast“ than a „Hotel“, although the prices are very high. A double room including breakfast costs 220,- Euros per night. For this premium price guests get poor quality and poor service by the owner (Nina) and the staff (Kaja). Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. The bathroom is below youth hostel quality. The breakfast is middle-class standard, while an espresso, cappuccino or latte macchiato cost extra. Guests also have to pay extra for eggs and other things. Extra payments seem to be „the“ strategy of the owners, who point out in a meticulous „police-like-document“ in the rooms that „If you do X you have to pay 100 Euros, and if you do Y you have to pay 300 Euros, etc.“ In short: Slovenia is a great tourist destination and the Karst region is wonderful for hiking, cycling or relaxing. However this location is neither great nor wonderful. There are multiple better options around Stanjel. At StDaniel guests do not get value for money. Guests are instead confronted with an overrated and overpriced accommodation with below average quality and service.

Very nice, quiet location in Slovenian Karts. Lovely boutique hotel with excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Nina and the staff very very warm, friendly and ready to help.
