easy access: good service, excellent little pub down stairs, Great restaurants close by, it’s one of the better hostels I stayed in,

The hostel has a nice patio. The rooms have a good size, are clean and have a bathroom nearby. The location is near the city centre. I was allowed to leave my backpack before checking in.

There were quite a lot of things that didn't work out for me. There was no one at reception throughout the entire day to do the check in, I had to get help from some guys working at the bar beside the hostel. The tap in the bathroom didn't work so there was not water. They allowed someone to check into my room at 9 in the morning even though check in is at 3pm. Overall my experience was not horrible but it was not good either, I would not recommend it.

The rooms are really nice and the whole Hostel has character! It’s not just a regular hostel!

Staff are absolutely incredible they were so welcoming and always prepared to help

They have bed bugs, I tried to contact the hostel to let them know twice and never received a reply.

It was well located, close to the Old Town and most attractions.

The worst thing was the smell in the room – it was really bad. The floor was dirty, and the leather armchairs were sticky. The staff didn’t let us enter the room at 13:53, even though it was already ready. We had to wait outside.

Sax Pub is in a great location, just outside the pedestrian zone, and is close to lots of restaurants. The hostel was very clean and was very quiet, even though it was backing on to the pub.

I didn't mind waiting during the check in, my issue was the passive rudeness of everyone working there with the "manager" (guy with glasses) included. He didn't act like a manager. From the first "hello" we felt like a burden and unwelcomed there. It wasn't expressed directly, but you could feel it. In my mind before getting there I was already planning after check in to enjoy a couple of beers at the pub, but after making me feel so uncomfortable- I didn't even want to interact with any of them anymore and found better places to go out. The "wooden chalet" is a garage from metal, covered in wood. During the night, you DO hear the noise from the pub, or the noise of hostel guests hanging out in the tiny backyard of the hostel, 1 meter away from the "chalet". We were cycling through Slovenia, and on our way back (2nd stop in Ljubljana) we preferred to stay elsewhere, which I also recommend you doing the same.

Overall fair stay! Staff is actually very nice contrary to most reviews saying they’re not around - I got to meet some of them :) Sockets fairly close to each bed, big locker (just need to bring a padlock), towels for no extra fee, bathroom is also ok. It’s also clean enough and the location is almost at the border of the city centre. The walk by the river is pretty chill.

Two showers might make you wait a little bit to use the bathroom, but nothing that ruins the experience. The crowd might be a bit odd as well, but on my last night I actually got to meet a few people and the vibes were amazing. There is indeed noise from the pub downstairs but nothing absurd and I don’t think it goes later than ~ midnight.

It is a shared dormitory. It was very clean. The bathrooms are also very clean. There is a box to keep your things, but you must buy a lock before you come. There is also a small bar under the residence and adjacent rooms that stay open until midnight. Loud noises.

A cool place. A bar/hostel combo in a great location near the river. Good prices, in the bar and for the hostel.

Guy from the staff (which also Works at the bar) seemed to have invented a strange policy by which guests cannot check in after 6pm although booking.com still allows reservations. Maybe it was too extra work for the bar man/receptionist.

Great location and super clean . So easy

Really nice environment, nicely decorated and very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to the old town.

The wifi wasn't working for the duration of my stay. However, it was my understanding that this was a temporary issue.
