No lounge or bar to relax in The hotel is on the main road which cannot be heard when the windows/doors are shut Housekeeping could be better they don’t always remove dirty cups and removed used wine glasses but didn’t replace them Rooms were a little small and the wardrobe difficult to use

There is nothing negative in my opinion. A few things that could bother some people: - There is a quite busy road between the hotel and the lake. So if you want to enjoy a quiet afternoon on the balcony, you will here some road noise. But the windows and doors are soundproof so you don’t hear it when their closed. - The rooms are quite cozy, so there is not that much space for your luggage. - There is no elevator. But walking a few steps is always a good workout. These are all points that become clear by looking at the pictures and reading the information, so it was no surprise to us when we arrived. It’s a great hotel that I would definitely recommend!

The first thing that comes to mind is the sensational view over lake bled and the castle. The hotel is still very new and one can still see that it was renovated not so long ago. We had a room with a balcony which was very nice. The bathroom was very modern and equipped with high quality soaps and shampoos. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good!

The location on lake bled was lovely and the staff were very helpful with any questions we had. If you are interested in a great dinner lakeside the adjoining restaurant has a variety of Slovenian dishes that are done well.

A very small thing but the mini fridge in the room was very noisy. We had to turn it off at night. The bed was a little creaky.

The location is perfect - in a quieter part of town directly on the water. You can swim, rent boats and SUP right across from the hotel without the crowds of other popular swimming spots. The lake view from the rooms is amazing. Breakfast also great with lots of choice!

We absolutely would recommend staying at the Hotel Starkl. The hotel was located on the Lake, we had a beautiful view of the castle from our room. It was slightly outside of the main city which to us made it even more desirable. Right across the road from the hotel was one of the 3 locations to catch the traditional boats which took you out to the island with the chapel. And it literally only took 8 minutes to walk to town on the path that went around the lake. We walked to the entrance to the castle, we walked around the lake all from Hotel Starkl. The staff was very professional, breakfast was nice and included. The room was very comfortable and roomy. I was so so happy with my choice of hotel. Oh yeah, you can swim in lake Bled right across from the hotel. Excellent experience.

Felt pricey for a 3-star hotel and for the amenities and service provided. For example, they charge extra for an early check in of a couple of hours, though we already paid 475Eur for 2 nights. The room is recently renovated but could already use an upgrade: the airconditioning and fridge were loud.

The location is superb: easily one of the most beautiful locations we have ever stayed at. You walk right out onto the lake. The breakfast was nice. The hotel was clean. Would recommend.

The parking. It is charged but it is only 5 euro a night so not bad but wasn’t clear when booking. Also the parking is shared with the restaurant so there wasn’t many spots available during peak times.

Great location, hot the balcony overlooking the lake - definitely recommend! There is a grocery store 2 min walk. The breakfast had loads of options. Would definitely book again.

This hotel was in a perfect location on Lake Bled and the staff were so kind and helpful. We had a gorgeous view of the lake, the air conditioning in the room was awesome and the beds were pretty comfy. We ate at the restaurant on our first night and the food was great! From an amenity perspective, we rented paddleboards and towels from the hotel directly, which was easy and convenient. We loved being able to walk out and go for a swim or relax on the banks. This hotel is a short walk to the main town with many restaurants and the castle. We loved our stay and would stay again!

Would prefer solid walls around bathroom, rather than glass. Fridge was very noisy but great to have in the hot weather. No handles on wardrobe doors with push catches which didn't work too well.

Great choice at the breakfast buffet with decent coffee machine! Their restaurant was excellent, great menu and friendly staff. Easy walk to Bled town and just across the road from the boats to the island
