This accomodation is very well situated and it looks and feels like a cozy grandparents’ house. It has free private parking and rooms with private bathroom. The living room and kitchen are shared, but are very nice and we met nice people, too. Everything was clean and the river - the sound of the nearby river - is definitely a plus! The host was nice and friendly - check-in/ out very easy!

It rained a bit!

We stayed one night while hiking the Juliana Trail. The host checked us in in person on arrival and was helpful with our questions. The place is more than a hostel, we had a private room with bathroom and balcony that was very comfortable. It is all wood house! Kitchen had everything we needed including big table that we sat around to chat with other guests. Mercator nearby for supplies. Museum of Mountaineering just up road was an interesting visit.

The only minus is there's no shutters and only a flimsy curtain. That was frustrating. If you have no sleeping mask, forget about sleeping after dawn.

The place is aesthetic and neat, well equipped kitchen, the toilet and shower were terrific. The check in was super friendly, they kept our luggage. Just excellent value!! A perfect place to start excursions into the Triglav massif

Super charming, little Hostel with pretty decorations. There was a very modern and pretty bathroom in the dorm. Everything was clean, check in was easy. I only stayed for one night, but you could easily stay longer. Bus connections are good and there’s also a lot to see and do around Mojstrana.

Very clean and big space inside the 8 bunk bed mixed-dormity. I really appreciate the private toilet/bathroom inside the room. It so clean and really appreciate the individual lamp for each bed, as well as extra the power plug area , more than enough for 8 people. I ended up staying one more night after two peaceful nights and meeting very cool people from this hostel. The staffs are very helpful and responsive for your support. It is like 3 mins walk to the local grocery store and delicious pizza place called Pizzeria Kot ( highly recommend), especially a free shuttle bus ( from Mercator grocery store) to Vrata Valley. It is located in a small village, less than 10 mins walk (500 meters) to the bus station (Mojstrana-Dovje) to travel to other towns.

As a hostel Lukna was fine, shared areas kitchen and lounge fine, and room was basic but fine. Owner checked us in, very friendly and helpful, and allowed us to store and charge our e-bikes in a locked room which was excellent.

Rooms are located on both sides of the kitchen, so noise travels easily. The bathroom door’s sliding mechanism is noisy. There were no lockers, not even for personal padlocks, and more hooks or curtains around beds would improve privacy. Unfortunately, construction workers made the room dusty and noisy early in the morning, which wasn’t ideal for a dorm environment.

The hostel has a very warm and welcoming vibe. It’s a bit pricier than others but offers a good kitchen (no breakfast provided). Bathrooms were clean and well stocked with soap and extra towels. The wooden storage boxes for bags were a nice touch, and the door access with a code made coming and going easy.

Minor nitpicks include the lack of shampoo, bath lotion, and safes or lockers in the rooms for valuables.

Extremely good value for money, not only did it have almost all amenities you would need but everything worked well and was pretty too. The kitchen and common area was great for cooking and meeting new people despite the quieter vibes than other hostels. Staff was off site most of the time but reachable by phone and WhatsApp.
