How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They only have one toilet in the bathroom and the bathrooms weren't the cleanest. Very quiet and family oriented hostel. Would have loved an indoor hang out area, like a living room or couch area.
The hostel is in a prime location within walking distance of multiple beaches, restaurants, and stores. There are two large kitchens which were nicely stocked. They offer free washing services and there were many showers.

Great location in the centre of Piran a short walk from the main square and harbour. The room was comfortable and air conditioned and towels were provided. The staff were very accommodating about check-in time.

Only Two showers for two dorms out of which one couldn’t be used because the door couldn’t be locked. Also, the doors of the toilet/ shower cabins would always extremely noisy if not closed properly which especially during the night gets annoying. Other than that all was fine but also nothing super special

We stayed in one of the private rooms. It was clean and tidy, and great with AC. Staff were lovely. Free use of the washing machine was also a bonus. Bathrooms were okay. Noise from the stairwell travels easily, but wasn’t a huge issue. Would recommend.

Limited space to cook and limited pots znd pans for number of people needing it.
The location was great only a couple of mis walk to main square and the sea. Accommodation was comfortable.

I booked a room for my children with friends for one night. The price corresponds to expectations, no frills. The room was clean. The staff quickly resolved all issues that arose with the check-in. Objectively: for one night at this price it was a great option.

Nice location, near by bus station. Easy to find. The room specious and clean. There is a laundry room, terrace, kitchen. Everything you might need when traveling.

The walls were extremely thin and you could hear your neighbour talking etc . I didn’t like the fact that both men and women could use the toilets and shower room at the same time. Separate would have felt more comfortable for solo lady travellers.
I liked that it was in the heart of the Old Town. Centrally situated. The young girl on reception was very helpful and obliging.

It does state parking in the facilities, but the whole town is locked down and you can’t enter it by car, you need to leave your car in a garage 20mins away from the hostel on a hill so it’s a bit of a hassle to carry all your luggages up and down a hill. It was very hard to figure this out, even tho we called the reception and they said they would send us the parking location, but they never did.
It was quiet, clean, has lockers so you can keep your stuff safe. We got towels as well.

It's very cold inside in winter. The aircon didn't warm the room at all.
At that time it was the only one budget accommodation in Piran. Stayed here during New Year's Eve. Hostel is located in the old town, a short walking distance from the bus station.
