Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaThe description on the booking is not that precise, as the hotel itself doesn't have spa and pool as written and the pictures are actually from another hotel that has pool and spa. Since the complex is owned by one entity you have access to other hotel that has spa & pool but it's also some 400m away or 5 minutes on foot. It's not that much, but it can be an issue especially during winter days as you have to dress up for the weather and then walk and then get into swimming suit again at another hotel. Considering the price of the hotel that's not the best case so it should be clearly communicated. Also this particular hotel doesn't even have the reception and you need to go to another one to check-in and also ask any questions so for some it can be a bit weird that there's no personal at this hotel. This hotel also doesn't have the elevator.
Nice little terme location in the hills of Slovenia. The whole area is one big complex where there's a couple of hotels, a big park, restaurants and villas. The breakfast is OK and plentul, only couple of options missing such as yogurt, and the dinner is really good. Nice touch was also the option to have dinner in nearby restaurant that had food-tasting menu. The cleanliness is really good, and the pool area is OK, a bit outdated but maintained. The spa area is new and has a variety of options - saunas, turkish bath, cold and hot pools, outside jacuzzi etc. The only thing missing is towels that you cannot get at the reception of the hotel for the spa, which is strange. There is a bathrobe in the room but towels are not for spa. The park is great and there are many nearby walking trails, which is cool. There's free parking all around. The nature around is also great.

SerbiaWe were disappointed with food quality and offer (breakfast and dinner). Coffee was awful, deserts are all the same and tasteless which doesn’t suit to hotel range. Wellness facilities need renovation.

BelgiumWould be nice to have more quality options for breakfast (a bit more fresh). Spa/swimming pools were okey but not to the standard of the surrounding environment.
Building style is pretty, the location of our hotel within a small park makes the stay very relaxing. Lots of activities you can join during the day.

AustriaThere are no things that I would not like, but rather what could be improved or adjusted, though I understand it can also be a cultural difference: 1) To have spa treatment offers for whole day on Sunday. (Now apparently it’s only till 14h00). In many other countries where I stayed in similar locations, the spa treatments are open a whole day during weekend, because in fact this is when people have time to go and do some procedures . I personally was interested in enjoying several of them last Sunday, and I’m sure many other clients too. 2) to provide two keys for the room even when only one person rents it and especially as the reception of my hotel was in another hotel. It was strange for me that when accidentally I forgot my key in the room, I was sent back to wait outside that cleaning lady comes to open (which didn’t happen), and then go back again to reception that seemed initially hesitant about providing a second key. Maybe they had good reasons, but for me it looked strange But these are just things that could be reconsidered. Because I’m overall I was very pleased about the hotel, its services and its staff.
I very much liked the hotel room, very clean, spacious, with everything needed. Also restaurant was perfect - both for quality and diversity of food (dinner and breakfast), but also about the staff working in the restaurant, all of them were excellent. The swimming pool and sauna facilities were also very nice.

United KingdomBooking.com stated local city and service taxes included when they were not. Inaccurate and annoying. Swimming pool in Hotel Vita in need of renovation. Boutique hotel Dobrna very pleasant but sauna facilities within same building minimal and not appealing given rest areas not kept tidy with leaves everywhere, including in the outdoor dipping tub.
Hotel room very clean and in very good condition apart from shower which leaked terribly onto the tiles floor as water could easily splash from underneath the sliding door.

SloveniaThis is not a hotel, let alone a four-star hotel. There is no reception at the entry and no receptionist. Even hostels have a receptionist desk and receptionist service. Instead, you encounter an electronically locked door. In other words, you might as well be checking into an airbnb establishment. I accidentally ran into a cleaning-lady that was just leaving the premises, who informed me one must fetch an electronic key from a nearby (also) four-star hotel Švicarija. There is no lift and obviously no receptionist let alone a porter (despite this being a four-star hotel) to help you drag the suitcase to the third floor. One of the reasons one chooses a hotel is precisely to have a reception service available during the day and during the night just in case something happens and one needs help. Instead, at so-called Boutique hotel, which is a total misnomer, one is left to one's own devices (and you are worried sick you might lose the electronic card, which means you might be left outside) with no receptionist or other staff in the building during the day and, what is even more worrisome, during the night. You are locked inside the building with total strangers. Anything could happen. There is no breakfast (or dinner) served on the premises either, which again does not make this a hotel at all, let alone a four-star hotel. You have to trudge to a nearby establishment Švicarija with a small dining area, which hardly accommodates the domestic guests. This is a waste of time and absolute hassle when it rains or snows as you reach your breakfast drenched. On top of this, the reception desk at Švicarija, where meals are served, closes at 19.00. The dinner is served until 21.00. I was left in front of the closed door all three evenings in a row, and had to knock on the windows of the dining area to attract the attention of the guests to let me in. It is totally degrading. This is not a hotel, let alone a four-star hotel (no balconies either). Way overpriced.
