How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI liked everything. It was a nice place with a big room. Denis was really nice. He carried upstairs our bags, he gave us so many recommendations. It's an old house, but I really liked the atmosphere. There is a small store nearby. Free parking lot is not too far from the house. If you want elevator and parking space front of the house it's not your property. We stayed 3 nights, but I think it was our best choice ever.

Verified reviewVery good location close to Bled and Bohinj, super nice host, free parking nearby, towels included
sewer smell in the room, too soft mattress, creaky bed, thin walls

Verified reviewIt's a typical alpine village house, vintage, clean, traditional. The surroundings are peaceful and there is a lovely stream flowing behind the house.
There were no electricity plugs in the bathroom and the door to it couldn't close completely. The breakfast is rather bland (no eggs, no cereal, not even water with coffee). The personnel is somewhat cold. All in all, the price is rather high for the service you get.

Verified reviewWe had a nice apartment which was perfect for our short stay. It was great the Host was available and very helpful with local advice. The location was much quieter than Lake Bled and very scenic. We would have liked to stay longer.

Verified reviewLovely place to stay when visiting Bled. Extremely clean and very comfortable. Perfect location for walks with nice views. Staff were friendly and helpful. Local cafe is great and supermarket is across the road. Right next to a bus stop that takes you in to Bled.
Have to walk about 200m from the parking if you have a car

Verified reviewIt is a very nice guesthouse in the building that is 165 years old. You need to walk for about 30 minutes to get to the lake but for me it wasn’t an issue since I love to walk. The village is very peaceful and you can relax away from crowds of people. The owner is very helpful and he will tell you about the things to see in the village and will help with all your questions. You can relax on the balcony with a nice view after a long day ☺️

Verified reviewA property of character. Reception from Denis very helpful. Great to have your own balcony with Alpine views and bus stop almost next to front door. Great local walks and swims. Decent breakfast. Beautiful cold water in courtyard from village spring well.
Limited bar and opening hours, no food other than breakfast; which meant resorting to the village snack bar run by the local postmistress in the evening if you don’t fancy taking an unreliable bus to a neighbouring town. In perspective, these are all first world problems.

Verified reviewThe guest house is well situated in a small village a couple of miles away from the tourist mayhem around Bled. There is a pleasant but hilly forest walk to the lake, and some basic shopping and cafe in the village. The hotel is old style but comfortable and good value. Excellent continental style breakfast, though we would have preferred a large cafetiere of coffee to the expresso we were offered. NB breakfast (10 euros) and tourist taxes were additional to the price on booking.com and had to be paid in cash. The room was comfortable with a good shower and air conditioning. As well as a small fridge. The patron was helpful and friendly though we struggled to communicate clearly in English at times.
There is no lift/ elevator and our room was on the second floor. Stairs were a bit steep, one flight was marble and had a bottom step much higher that all the rest, so required extra care and clinging to the bannister for us oldies.

Verified reviewNice welcoming staff/owner, also provided service until 10PM - if you want to drink some beer after a busy day, its great. We were offered a breakfast for 10EUR, which was also nice, plenty, and fresh - also with yoghurts and fruits. The area was nice and quiet, few kms away from Bled, but also avoiding the crowd. Ideal for hiking, bike trips, etc..
The mattresses could have been more comfortable, they are a bit soft and spongy - might need an upgrade. The curtain in the bathroom does not really serve any purpose, it's short, and you can splash the bathroom with the shower if you're not absolutely careful.

Verified reviewI picked a double bed room (twin beds joined together) with a private bathroom. The place had all the necessary amenities, was clean, comfortable, good light exposure, and a very nice host. The location is about 35 min walk from Lake Bled, which for me was not far away. However, there is only one small pizza/ pancakes place in the locality, which is something to keep in mind, especially for dinners. A nice breakfast with breads, fruits, coffee, juice and some small sandwich making items were provided upon request.
