How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe best part of our stay was the staff (the host was very welcoming and nice, the chef Martin is a very dear person), and the food was great. You can smell the horses in the hallway but not in the rooms. The heating is good, it was very warm in the rooms.
Minor details (the water tap in one of the apartments didnt work).

Verified reviewBig apartment, plenty of space Easy access Great views
Apartment had a few works in progress (ex. installing air conditioning) Hosts don’t speak English (only one person does and isn’t present in the mornings or evenings) Very noisy (even after curfew), the rooms are not soundproofed.

Verified reviewOwners were super communicative and helpful when it comes to booking, paying, sending all helpful data. Our late arrival was no problem. In the morning, fresh air outside, beautiful nature and horses. Beautiful!

Verified reviewSpacious, nice farm area. Very close to Postojna cave, so it is reasonable for 1 night.
The apartment is located inside a big farm house, where they keep the horses, so the smell of animals is very strong. If someone is allergic to such smells, then they should definitely avoid this place. Also, for some reason they turned the heat up unbearably, so we had to leave the windows open all night, and those sleeping on the upper level were still not comfortable. Also, one of the beds was broken. There was no personnel on site and they did not pick up the phone either.

Verified reviewI like the wooden details and the horse running around downstairs. We had the building to ourselves at night so very private and intimate.
The restaurant was closed so we had to drive 10+ min for food, there is no much to cook a meal on the kitchenette and the tap was leaking. I was hoping to get a ride with the horses but there was literally nobody to talk to or ask.

Verified reviewFriendly and easy Check-In while drinking a beer in the restaurant or outside with a nice view. Rooms are fresh renovated, mix the old features with new ones. You can feel the heart and soul 🙂
You have to know that the rooms are upstairs the horse hall - so the smell is extraordinary, if you have no own horse like us 😉

Verified reviewThe area where the apartments are situated is beautiful and quiet.
When we arrived there was no staff in site, I had to message and then was told key was on the desk. The room was in need of modernisation, 4 beds out of 6 were broken. When we looked out the window , it was crawling with flies and we had to go out and buy fly spray. There was ony 3 seats for a family of 4 to sit on. The relaxation area was full of broken seats and didnt feel relaxing at all. The communication from the hotel is shocking, I booked in August for a stay in October for a road trip we were planning. I hoped to surprise my daughter with a riding trek but had no response from them to book this. I also asked about breakfast and meals and again no response. I finally got response once money was taken at the end of Sept and we couldnt cancel without been charged. The response informed us no evening meals or breakfast was available, if I had known this before I would have not booked. During our whole stay we saw no staff. Even when we needed to contact someone as someone had reversed into and damaged our car on the hotel carpark, we had no response. This hotel has huge potential and could be a fab stay but currently I would not recommend.

Verified reviewI do not like to give negative reviews as the hospitality industry is having a bad enough time, but I a left with no choice as this place is one to be avoided. Here’s why. 1. When I booked I sent an important message to the hosts and this was totally ignored. They were communicating with canned messages about rules etc, but not direct replies to questions. 2. When we go to the place in the timescale we advised, there was nobody there except other customers waiting. The host turned up some 25 minutes later. 3. The host moaned about staff and not being able to get any. 4. After a long day of driving, we wanted to eat, but the restaurant was closed for 2 days because they were too tired. 5. One of the hosts had a loud, infantile meltdown which all the guests witnessed. He was surrounded by sheepish staff. We had no idea who upset him, but is was embarrassing to witness. He acted like a 2 year old who had his toy taken away. 5. There was no kettle in our room. We had to ask for one. Really needed a drink after the journey, and no facilities open. 6. The utensils, cups etc, all woeful. 2 cups, horrible metal ones, different sizes, virtually nothing to cook with. 7. Food prep area is about 20x30 cm, and nowhere to put anything. 8. Bathroom is not nice with rotten sealant around shower and a badly situated toilet that means you have to sit on it at an angle. 9. Loose toilet seat. 10. The mattresses are the cheapest and nastiest you can buy. On the main bed, which is 2 singles put together, only they have solid surrounds, so I suggest being careful if you want to cuddle your other half, the mattress leaned heavily. So we slept separately in the bunk beds downstairs with our daughter. 11. Pillows are paper thin and useless.
12. The bunk bed supporting slats where about 1 quarter of what should have been there, so sleep was hard to get due to noise and mattress slumping though gaps. 13. We wanted to give our daughter a horse riding experience, but there was nobody available to do it during our stay. 14. The placement of power sockets is bizzare, but only one worked, so expect fights on who gets to charge devices first. 15. The shower is awful, with sealant and tile grouting turned black, paint peeling on the ceiling, and tiles cracked around it. See photos. 16. The wardrobe sliding doors were collapsing. They are flimsy and very cheap. Not good for such a high traffic environment. 17. The stairs to the mezzanine sleeping area are at a very steep angle, you do not feel safe going up or down. 18. They are also a bit woke and force theoir climate opinions and demands down your throat. We wondered why they bother opening. Service is very poor, communication is poor, attitude sucks, everything is done on the cheap. We are on a 15000km road trip and staying in over 25 places. This was the worst of all experiences in 10 years using booking.com.

Verified reviewThe position was good and overall is a quiet place. The staff was really friendly, but wasn't always around, so you had to find them.
The apartment was dirty. We found used sugar packages with the new ones, used tea bags in the trash and the bathroom was dirty. Also the sink had a crack and both the sink and the shower didn't flush well. The lamp in the bathroom was full of flies. They didn't even offer us the correct amount of bathroom linen. We were two, and there was only one big enough to dry off the body. Also the furniture was broken. One of the chair was still in one piece by some sort of miracle, just like one of the single bed's headboard. The gas stove was good, except for the provided lighter that didn't work. This establishment has a lot of of potential, but really a lot to improve.
