We are delighted that we chose these apartments! The owner is a very warm and pleasant person. The apartments are super clean and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped. The balcony with mountain views is incredible. After hiking days, we would drink tea there in the evenings and watch the sunsets. The location of the apartments is also excellent: for those without a car, or wanting to take a break from driving - there's a bus stop just 50 meters away. You can walk to the town center with grocery store, restaurants, bakeries, and a bank. Bohinjska Bistrica is a small, quiet, and very charming town. There's no tourist hustle and bustle here at all. From this town, it's convenient to visit Vogel, Bohinj, Bled, and other attractions. We traveled extensively through the mountains, and this was an ideal place to stay. If we were to visit here again, we would undoubtedly stay at Apartments Mencinger!

Nothing really. The bed was a bit too soft for our liking, but we slept well as it was very quiet.

Vesna was the most friendly and helpful host we have met on this trip. She made us so welcome and even upgraded us to the appartment, where we could use the kitchen and enjoy views from the balcony. The bedroom was very spacious and kitchen was well equipped.

Friendly, welcoming and very helpful/informative host. Big living area complete with spacious bedroom and kitchen as well as tv-room and fully adequate bathroom with shower. Great location - 10 minute walk to Bohinjska Bistrica town centre with excellent restaurants, bakery and cafe, grocery stores and a pharmacy. Also a 10 minute walk to the train station.

Ceiling over one of the beds was sloping so you have to be careful not to bump your head if tall (not a bug problem)

A lovely, spacious, well equipped apartment. Great location in a gorgeous little village, handy to lake bled and Bohinj so a good spot for exploring the area. Quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the mountains. We would definitely stay there again. Good value for money

Vesna was very nice and most helpful, providing advice about local cycle paths and places to visit. My apartment had very nice views of the surrounding hills and had everything I needed for my stay. Highly recommend.

It was really a pleasant stay - homeowner Vesna welcomed us upon arrival and provided all the necessary information. Apartment is cozy, spacious enough for 2 people, with great view and really comfy chairs in the balcony. A lot of well thought details in the apartment.

It was all great!

Vesna was incredibly kind and accommodating during our stay. She gave us great recommendations of places to go and where to eat. She also allowed us to have two separate rooms, as there were no other guests, as well as giving us some of her own milk when we arrived after the supermarkets had closed. The rooms each had a big bed and a lovely balcony to relax on.

The heating was switched off in may, but it was warm enough

Very friendly people renting the appartement. Comfortable double bed, very clean, with 2 balconies, kitchen had coffee pulver, dish soap and the mothrr of the owner was very kind and provided tea bags to me on request. The location is a short walk to the restaurants in the city. The 2nd layer of curtains block all sunlight to sleep undisturbed in the morning.

Excellent, well-equipped accommodation in a quiet area, yet within walking distance of the centre. A free bus service to the lake is 100 metres from the accommodation. Vesna is very kind and helpful. We were satisfied with everything.

Although there is a free bus service it is far from lake bohinj or any other sites really - they are not walkable distance. It does however make a good base if you are spend several days in the area & have a car. There was easy parking in the car port.
