The accommodation is located in the small village of Štanjel overlooking the Vipava Valley. The operators are very nice, helpful, they will advise you on planning trips to the surrounding area, give you tips on where to go to eat or where to buy traditional products. They serve an excellent breakfast, made from local products. Definitely recommended.

Lovely apartment with a very friendly host who kindly collected us from the train station to save us pushing our suitcases up the hill to the village on a very hot day. Really nice terrace to enjoy warm evenings.

I loved how the apartments are in a castle, so special! Nice and calm area, the rooms are great and the hosts are amazing! The view is great and Italian seaside is reachable within 40 minutes.

This apartment is absolutely beautiful! The terrace and the view are breathtaking. Štanjel itself is a charming, peaceful little village, but what really makes this place unique is the host, Leon! We arrived by train and accidentally left a bag with an iPad behind. Leon went above and beyond to help us: he tracked the train, drove all the way to its final stop, and just a few hours after we had stepped off, he was at our door with the bag in hand. In the mornings we enjoyed delicious coffee, and Leon’s helpful and warm-hearted family made us feel completely at home. Incredible service and kindnes.

The family running the property were so charming. We were met with a welcoming drink and happily chatted over Google Translate breakfast was excellent. We only could stay one night but we will gladly return for more. The renovations were impeccable.

Do not expect the WiFi to penetrate those thick stone walls 😁. The church across the street gives a loud 6am wake up! Be sure that we would still return!

Small windows and the bells from the church going every morning at 06:00 for one long minute! Walls are thin, you can hear the neighbors.

Wonderful host, terrace and view from the property

The accommodation is charming, including the location. It is very stylishly furnished, from the entrance gate, and spacious terrace to the apartment itself. The multi-course breakfast served was magnificent. The views were second to none. But most of all we would highlight the owners' incredibly helpful and friendly approach. Thank you!

I loved these apartments because of their position inside Štanjel medieval center. The apartments are very clean, well refined and decorated, really feels like home. The property has a wonderful terrace with view on the valley, the same view we had it from our apartment. Highly suggested! The staff is kind and welcoming and provides lot of tips to make the best of your journey in Slovenia!
