Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandReception was not manned on arrival and it was about 10 minutes before someone turned up. Guest bags that had been left in the foyer were therefore totally unattended. Air conditioning was not good. It was set on 16C but never felt less than about 22C.
Room was tidy. Shower was good but the shower head needs fixing.

United KingdomThe carpet could have been cleaner when I got into the room. Make sure when booking that you select with window if you want/need the natural light cause the standard room doesn't have windows, which was fine for me as I didn't spend a lot of time in the room when I wasn't sleeping. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs as you can hear quite a bit from other rooms/the hallway.
Rooms exactly as described and in walking distance to Paya Lebar metro station with easy access to the rest of the city. Room had a small fridge in it so could keep some milk and little bits to make a small breakfast in the room as the hotel doesn't have a kitchen/restaurant. There are good food stalls and restaurants round the corner for lunch and dinner.

AustraliaRoom was small...barely enough room for our cases on the floor; hotel foyer regularly smelled like cigarette smoke
Location was great for our main activities; Joo Chiat Road is a very convenient place to be from the perspective of restaurants, shopping centres etc; staff were friendly and helpful; if something needed to be fixed the staff got on to it quickly

United KingdomRoom a bit small and no window but this is a city hotel so expected. Would be nice to have real milk rather than powdered with tea/coffee!
Clean and comfortable city hotel. A bit of a walk from metro (around 1km) but easy to get into town from there. Reception very helpful.

SingaporeFriendly staff, helped us with the issues with the luggage. Clean, small room - just as described. Beds are comfy, we had good one night rest. In our case no window was an advantage - as blackouts are usually not so blackout in hotels=)

SingaporeIf you want room service or more facilities then this place won't suit you.
The hotel had such a pleasantly balanced feel, a good mix of contemporary meets classic. The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was also decked out in classic black and white.

AustraliaService for check in was a little slow and perfunctory.
Love the location in Joo Chiat which is a heritage area and an interesting local neighbourhood. Good for an overnight stopover coming through Changi, would also be good to stay for a few days. The hotel is decent value in what is now a fairly expensive city.

New ZealandGetting taxis proved challenging and I had to wait longer than expected. The room itself was quite dark with limited natural light, which wasn't ideal. Overall, it served its purpose well for a transit stay, especially if you're looking for good food options nearby.
Good location for an airport layover with convenient access to Changi - just a short drive away. The surrounding area has great 24-hour dining options. The local food was excellent and readily available any time of day.

AustraliaI wasn't informed in advanced that daily cleaning was not included. (only every 2 or 3 days) There was drainage smell from the bathroom. No soap was provided for handwashing (only shampoo, conditioner and body wash) so that I had to use body wash for handwashing.
The location was quite convenient for my trip. Staffs were friendly and accommodating, which was the best part of selecting this hotel. Basic hotel room but spacious.
