Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe small table would needs to have the screws tightened. It looks better in the pictures here on Booking.com than in reality.
I liked the self check-in feature, bed was comfortable and clean. There was a safebox and a small table.

PhilippinesShower was complicated to use. Some guests were really noisy, even after 10 pm and before 5 am, though this is not the hostel's fault. But I think emphasis should be given about quiet hours
Staff and location were great! All staff were nice. Thank you all. Hostel is between Clarke Quay and Raffles Station. Merlion Park is about 15 minute walk away. Hostel even had dental floss and shaver. WiFi was fast

GreeceAlthough the beds have privacy (the space is closed with a curtain), the space is very narrow and not at all comfortable, there is no space at all to open your suitcase, which can only fit under the bed. You can only lie down in the space. The showers are just as narrow. The dormitories are for many people (I think more than 10) but they are not ventilated with fresh air, the window never opens and is permanently closed with a black curtain. There is a constant operation of the air conditioner which you cannot adjust, resulting in it being very cold. The cleanliness of my bed area could have been better (there were traces of previous guests).
Singapore is an expensive country and cheap accommodation is not many. This was the cheapest in a good area. There is a metro station nearby and you can easily walk to important points of interest.

IndonesiaTowel should be 2 pcs if 2 persons check in for Double Bed.
All white and Clean! Love it a lot. For a hostel, this hostel deserves a "very good" point. Bed with curtain instead bunk bed, superb option. Though the price bit pricey for a hostel, but this is a common price among other hostel in SG. Late check in with Self chekin, we just need to follow the instructions, so read it carefully. The receiptions greet us warmingly and let us have early checkIn, Lovely. Free coffee and tea, this is a complete hostel.

SpainIt’s located in a street that’s very centric but that can get quite noisy - bring earplugs or use the ones provided, you’ll need them.
We didn’t expect to have such a great sleep in a hostel! The beds are very comfortable. Also, the staff are very friendly and attentive. We also liked the free coffee :)

AustraliaVery hot at night, aircon wasn’t that good. Bathroom needs a little more ventilation, there was a little bit of mold. the photos showed a nice window, however the window was all covered from both side and you cannot open the window for any natural light. It’s fine if you’re out all day. Wasn’t really a big deal but was just annoying that the photos didn’t match the place. The pillows were also pretty bad
Comfy bed, great location, hot water, privacy.

United StatesMy sons are not real big on sharing shower facilities even though it was really clean or leaving their shoes out in public area, even though no problems, just personal comfort levels.😜 Also, might be nice to have a bigger or Moe obvious identification of property on door or wall.
Great attention to small amenities like ironing board, toiletries, ice, water for refills, free coffee and tea, good security. Gabriel was particularly helpful in offering tips, places to eat, and getting to Sentosa Islamd that would have taken much longer with out his advice. Great noise control, no loud neighbors and we never really felt that we had to wait long for showered. All guests polite, no issues

I loved how accessible the location was and the dorm was value for money. Staffs are making check in check out convenient. The place is generally kept clean by the staffs. The occassional hiccups are from how the guests leave it after use like the common areas and facilities.

PhilippinesSuper great 3 night stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room and general areas were clean and orderly and the other guests were mindful and respectful. I got the room with a single bed, and it was comfortable enough. A bit cramped inside, however it didn't bother me since I spent most of my time outdoors anyway. It's located near a lot of popular attractions (barely a 5min walk from the National Gallery), as well as bus and train stations so it's an ideal spot if you're planning on exploring the city. It is located on a street with a busy night life, however the noise doesn't travel inside. I saw other reviews complaining about the outside noise disturbing their sleep but in my experience, I couldn't hear the outside noise from my room at all-- maybe it depends if your bed is near the window? Not sure. They do offer complementary ear plugs, if that helps. They don't offer food, only free tea, coffee and water but that wasn't an issue. The place is located next to several amazing restaurants and cafes at varying price points, as well as a 7/11. There's also two Indian restaurants right at the bottom of the hostel that serve amazing food + open 24/7 (probably the highlight of my trip, as someone who would sometimes get back at almost midnight). There's also a small hawker center down the road and a couple of traditional Singaporean breakfast spots within the block that serve incredible food for less than 10SGD. One of the shower stalls was out of order when I was here, but it wasn't an issue since I got back late almost every day and hardly ran into anyone when I used the facilities. The shower + toiler area were also clean and come with free body wash, cotton pads, Q tips, and razors. Overall, not bad for a short stay in Singapore.
