Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was ideal for access to the bus and subway stations. Within 10 Minutes walking distance to Chinatown as well.

AustraliaThere were a few things not quite good enough but Unfortunately the pool area is terrible. The beds were almost dangerous , torn and uncomfortable. No shade of any sort and the pool not particularly clean . This was shame as it was very hot and a cool swim and relax would have made a difference. Although the room was clean , sometimes the room wasn’t serviced till late . Breakfast was average .
The location was great a few minutes walk from Chinatown and a close mrt. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. In the main , most staff were friendly and helpful. Although the room was small it was fine .

AustraliaInitially when I opened the wardrobe, a moth flew out and it stinks. The wardrobe was never opened. The housekeeping service is slow and not responsive - have to make 2 calls to ask for extra towel (twice - first call they acknowledged it but not delivered after 40mins) . One of the night (9pm) I can't get hold of the housekeeping / front desk to ask for some hand towels - called 4 times 15 mins intervals.
The location is convenient. The room assigned to me has fabulous view.

Australiashower/toilet/bathroom area is small wish the room was bigger for what we paid for breakfast, not included with hotel booking ($20 on top if booked with booking.com, $30 if booked through the front desk and $32 as a walking). breakfast at the hotel is outsourced and not part of the dorsett hotel. overpriced for not a lot of options. omelette didn't have much salt, congee with century egg didn't have any century egg visible despite multiple scoops showing nothing, skip the breakfast and walk to maxwell or chinatown hawkers for a better meal and half the prioce
