It’s my first time to book a hostel . As an older person , it’s not ideal to lift a luggage to the third floor . Fortunately , the owner allowed me to put my main luggage at the reception .

It’s in a scenic location , near transport lines . The common area is cozy .

It is a pretty simple and basic hostel but I strongly liked the friendly vibes, it was full of solo travellers. I liked also the staff which was always available.

Good value for money. Loads of information upon arrival. The host is friendly. However, the internet was really troublesome. It drops all the time and is not very convenient. Modest breakfast, but it was free of cost, so it was appreciated. The bathroom and showers were relatively clean, but they are located together, so everything gets wet, and it's a bit uncomfortable. Best value for money in Singapore. The location is great, many restaurants around. We opted for 6 6-bunkbed room and it was the best one. It does not have a window but privacy-wise, it was perfect

A great place if you are looking for a cheap but pleasant accommodation option. The good location of the hostel will provide you with the opportunity for long walks around the area. The hostel staff is super responsive, they will tell you where to go and even share some tips about your journey. However, you need to understand that this is a hostel, so all the territories are literally shared. I lived in a women's room for 5 people, the room was clean but not very functional. Maybe I was lucky with the neighbors, but everything was quiet, and I managed to relax at night. In general, I recommend this place if you want to stay in the area for the night. And if you can share a space with a lot of people, of course 🙂

No curtains for the bed.

Tony (the staff/owner?) is very nice and helpful. He was very patient in explaining the sightseeings, transportation etc to every guest coming in the hostel. Thanks to him, I got a little 'upgrade' of my room, which I appreciated a lot. The hostel is located in Joo Chiat Rd., a street full of peranakan culture, if you’re interested in this, you must not miss the buildings and special little shops in the street.

There’s no place to charge your phone next to your bed

Nice location near public transportation. Really cozy vibe and a nice common area with a kitchen and a pool table. Rooms had good ventilation and nice temperature. Front desk was amazing and really helpful. Also the give you pdf’s with guides and recommendations so you don’t feel that lost and get ideas of what to do.

the showers and toilets were in the same cubicle which was a bit cramped. there were also no hooks in the bedrooms which would definitely be a welcome addition.

the location was in a beautiful, culturally rich neighbourhood. the receptionist emailed me a whole info pack with a public transport map, cultural info and a four day itinerary of the city. there was a free toast breakfast with tea and coffee, a nice social space and all in all a grounded, affordable hostel experience in one of the most expensive cities in the world!

There was this elderly Filipino woman probably a long stay guest that is very inconsiderate. Didn’t respect that lights should be off at 22:30 because I have to get my sleep to catch a very early morning flight. She insisted that the lights should be totally bright because she’s reading! Snoring loudly throughout the night too.

There is an older man who works there, he is very sweet, but he is quite confused, he tried to get me to pay twice for my stay, but when I explained I already paid it, he simply didn't listen. I explained it a few times and eventually he understood, and apologized very many times. Things like this happens, so it was okay, in the end I weren't overcharged, and the other staff is so great it doesn't mean much. It felt like a second home to me. Also The ac is only on from 6 untill 10, which is reasonable, because I was out all day anyway.

I loved the friendly people you got to meet at this hotel, I stayed in the women's only dorm, and I can only recommend it, there are lockers, but be aware that they don't fit a big backpack (at least in the women's only dorm). The place is 15 mins. Walk from the nearest train station, so good location in my head.

They had one English guy on staff who was a bit of bigot and then was asleep on the morning of my check out which wouldn't be an issue but we had to open the door for guests waiting to check in as they were continually ringing the bell as he wouldn't get up!

Wifi required an OTP to connect, which was reset every day. The breakfast was just bread and jam/peanut butter which was underwhelming for the price. There was no curtains or socket near the bed which was annoying.

Great location, easily accessible by public transport and close to the water. A more affordable option in Singapore. Lovely common area.

Not too much, it is in an old building, so no elevator, I was in the ladies room on the first floor, it was great!

The location is great #24 bus from terminal 4 is clser than the train. The owner gives you a 3 day walk package it is great, gives you areas to go to. A must is Kampong Glam loved that area. The area where Betal box is wonderful with the old shophouses!
