“This is an old 19th century barracks from when the fortress was in active use. As such it's a pretty interesting look into what a building like that is like, highly uneven floors and all. The old fortress is on an absolutely gorgeous peninsula into lake Vättern; I could see the lake's inlet from my window. The area has a bunch of spots of historical interest. The window actually consists of two separate windows behind one another so I could open the inner one to help the heat leave a bit without letting in mosquitoes.”
