The only minor downside were the steep roads in Mahé, but this is something common all over the island. It wouldn’t stop us from choosing this apartment again. Just be a bit prepared for navigating narrow and winding roads. Other than that, we absolutely recommend this apartment and would gladly return!

We stayed in a beautiful accommodation in Mahé, located in the hills of Mahé, Seychelles. The owner of the villa is a very nice man. He advised us on good restaurants and beaches nearby and also helped us with car rental. The car was brought right under the house, which was very useful, because the house is located quite high. Walking would be quite difficult, especially in the heat. But the view from the villa is amazing. It was a wonderful vacation!

Most of the dishes in the kitchen were stored dirty. No changing towels for 4 nights but except of this all was super.

Views from the villa are breathtaking! The apartment is really big with everything you may need. Hosts are super kind and friendly. Air con works perfect and there is a dedicated parking spot for each apartment. Location is far from everything so you will definitely need a car if you plan to reserve this property. Pretty gardens and a lot of flowers.

The view is amazing. Having the balcony to sit and enjoy in the evening with a local takeaway and a beer or a glass of wine was just fantastic. The location is great if you have a car but the busses do pass fairly nearby quite regularly. Nevertheless we would recommend having car.

The parking is tight, so drive a small car. The roads to the property are very narrow and hilly. But being high up is how you get the fantastic views.

I stayed in #4 and it has a great view of the water. The ac worked very well. It had a fully equipped kitchen. The best part was the owner’s mom, Ruth. She was so kind and very helpful. She gave me tips on the area and helped me get in and out of the parking spot.

It wasn't like that, we loved everything.

The accommodation was very clean, well equipped, the trash was taken out every day, and the bed was put in, just like in a hotel. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, and even surprised us with some special local delicacies. The view from the terrace speaks for itself and the tropical sounds were amazing. I warmly recommend it.

As the place is in a rather steep hill, you have to use a car to get around (which you need to get around Mahé anyways).

Thanks a lot to Top View Retreat for an amazing week on the Seychelles. The hosts are very very friendly and hospitable. They've helped us in many issues, even recommended us where to celebrate New Year 2025:) The room was spacious and comfortable equipped with all necessary stuff. When we are back again, we'll stay in Top View again with pleasure. Despite the fact, that Top View Retreat isn't far from the coast, it's located on the top of the hill, that's why it's really necessary to have a car. By the way parking slots are available.

You will need a car to access the accommodation as it is located high on a hill, but there is free private parking available, making it very convenient. During our stay, we experienced some minor internet disconnections, but they were not a serious issue.

This accommodation is a dream come true. Located on the best side of the island with the most beautiful beaches, I honestly don’t know where to begin describing the amazing experience we had. The value for money is outstanding. The view is breathtaking, and the outdoor area features a lovely garden. I spent hours sitting on the balcony, listening to and watching birds nesting nearby—it felt like paradise. The bathroom is spacious and wonderful, and the kitchen is equipped with the essentials for preparing simple meals. Our host was exceptional! Communication via WhatsApp was seamless, and they were always available to help with anything we needed. They gave us great tips about the best spots on the island. The property was cleaned every other day, with fresh towels, sheets, and a spotless bathroom—everything was always immaculate and tidy.

Nothing major, but perhaps a coffee press or expresso pot could be a really good addition to the kitchen.

We received a beautiful bowl of fresh fruit on arrival. The place is well maintained and had all the cooking utensils we needed during our stay. Christopher and Ruth are very welcoming and the place was cleaned daily. It has breathtaking sea views and it is only a short drive away from a wonderful beach, which we enjoyed a lot, specially swimming during sunset. We recommend the nearby Banana Sea Club for kayaking and other water sports-- this was the highlight of our stay. We also suggest a short drive to Takamaka rum distillery for beautiful cocktails and a sunset dinner at Perry's Grillz.

I wouldn’t say that it was a drawback, but perhaps it can be significant factor for someone (who wants to be in complete silence). Since the building is located in close proximity to the road, a few passing vehicles sometimes are possible which can create a slight noise.

The property is located at the top of a steep hill, so having a car is essential, preferably one with a certain engine capacity and an automatic transmission. We found the road to be very slippery when it rained. The cleanliness of the windows needs improvement.

The apartment was large, cozy, and bright. We really liked the terrace and the view from it. The kitchen was well-equipped. The bed was confortable.

There's parking inside if you have a car, and there's a bus stop nearby. But the highlight of the place was the magnificent terrace and the beautiful view over the bay!! Ruth welcomed us in her home. She was very warm and gave helpful advice on what to do on the island. Christopher was very helpful, gave us lots of recommendations of what to visit and where to eat on the island and near the apartment. He was very kind and quick to respond to our messages. Road to the apartment it is a little bit difficult, as most of the roads on the island so if you are not a good driver just go slowly in 1. speed and you will make it. Also, be prepared to pay for your stay upon arrival although you booked with your credit card, it is better to pay in cash so you dont need to pay card provision. Also, be prepared to pay enviromental fee that is not listed in final booking price (it is around 1,67e per person per day in most of Seychelles apartments)
