How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe view, the garden, the spacious apartment with a nice terrace - the warm welcoming! The fruits and fried bananas!! You must have dinner on the terrace at least once!!
Of course you have to walk to Anse Lazio (20 min), otherwise it takes 45 min by car - we knew it and we loved the walk!! In August it can be quite windy and chilly in the evening as it is on top of the hill - just that you consider that (good thing: we didn‘t need the aircon🙂)

Verified reviewWe loved our stay at Terrasse Sur Lazio. The apartment is new, modern, and very spacious — a true hidden gem on the island. From the terrace you get breathtaking views over the ocean, and the location couldn’t be better, just next to Anse Lazio and close to Anse Georgette. The place feels very private and peaceful, perfect for anyone seeking a quiet escape. You could easily spend the whole day here, simply relaxing and enjoying the pool with its stunning panoramic views. Therese and Raphael are truly amazing hosts — so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They supported us with many things during our stay and always went the extra mile to make everything easy and comfortable. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already dreaming of coming back. Five stars without a doubt!

Verified reviewVery cozy and comfortable apartment with gorgeous views, well equipped kitchen, washing machine, spacious bathroom, swimming pool-very refreshing. Also enjoyed the improvements-blinds on all the windows, thank you, Thérèse for adding that; and arranging for a great car rental with Fabby, was super efficient meeting us at the jetty for collection/drop off; and recommending Le Duc Spa for massages, we loved it. Our 2nd visit there, taking the car this time to reach Anse Lazio-works so much better to use the car to go down the hill to the hiking trail to the beach (made it in 12 minutes) and then driving up the hill after. Also thanks to Rafael, for always being super helpful in making our stay better, the delicious banana breakfast treats and milk, when we ran out; the restaurant recommendation (Zilwa, if remember right)-had a great vegetarian option. And big thanks for allowing for later check out, was really helpful and gave us another chance to quickly have a trip down to Anse Lazio for a last snorkel, taking advantage of a sunny morning (rained a lot during our stay).
The doors, handles, shelves and the shower could be a bit cleaner from hand prints, dust and hair...guess not all the guests are tidy and some extra attention to details would help.

Verified reviewWe really enjoy our stay at Sur Lazio and Praslin. The dinner was excellent, and the nearby Lazio beach is wonderful. The staff was also very friendly and available. The view is amazing!
The hotel/location is isolated from the rest of the island which has both positive and negative implications. It is very calm here, but also no restaurant options or nearby stores. Recommended to rent a car or ask your taxi driver to stop at a nearby supermarket in your way to the hotel (which we did) to buy food/groceries for your whole stay - the nearest supermarket is a 30 minutes one-way walk uphill so not recommended to carry a lot of things. Although I wish I could give this a 10/10 review, there are minor things making this a 9/10 stay instead. None of them individually would make a difference, but all together they drag down the overall score (note that we have been to 60+ hotels in the last 8 years where only 1 has gotten a 10/10). The kitchen utilities are old and not the best for cooking, the WiFi is slow, they charge a sneaky 4% surplus on all card payments including the hotel fee which was not communicated before and although small in relative terms adds up for a longer stay, the locker/safety box did not work and one of the lights in the bathroom did not work. With this said, a very good stay with a few minor drawbacks (perhaps the 4% surplus charge being the sneakiest).

Verified reviewThe views from the property are spectacular and something you would never tire of. We had a wonderful 4 days staying there. The apt was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served by Raphael, to our patio each morning. Therese was very helpful arranging our car hire and arranging our highly recommended trip to Curieuse Island. The pool was lovely to cool down in after a day out exploring the Island. We were very sad to leave and highly recommend staying at the property. Therese was very kind and gave us a huge bag of fresh fruits from her garden to take away with up.
Nothing

Verified reviewWe had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment in Praslin . From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the kindest and warmest hosts, who went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. The house itself is an absolute gem—tastefully designed, impeccably clean, and complete with a lovely shared pool that made it feel like my own little paradise. Surrounded by stunning nature, the tranquility and beauty of the area are simply breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of birds and the lush greenery was an unforgettable experience. It's the ideal place to relax, unwind, and truly immerse yourself in the magic of the Seychelles. Thank you to the amazing hosts for making my stay so special—we hope to return one day! Special thanks to Raphael who is a real star!

Verified reviewA perfect apartment in a perfect location. Situated between two of the most gorgeous beaches of the Seychelles, the hike to Anse Georgette is most beautiful but challenging. You can also choose to go through the Lemuria hotel entrance, which is much easier. But the best is the five star+ service from Thérèse, Rafael and Astrid. They read your wish wishes before you can even ask for it. We are so thankful! See you next year.

Verified reviewBeautiful place to stay in Praslin - the view is 10/10! Best location, close to 2 of best beaches in the island - you will need a car though; the Appartments are really big & spacious, kitchen is well-equipped; there are only 4 rooms so it is really quiet and cosy; we would definitely come back - honestly best place to stay in Praslin; also the guy taking care of property is very friendly and helpful; all in all we had amazing time here
Missing shower gel & shampoo; They charge 4% fee for credit card payments - this should be reflected in the price on booking - otherwise it leaves a bit of weird feeling as no other hotel or restaurant in Seychelles charged 4% for credit card payments

Verified reviewThe view was stunning and the hosts, Therese and Raphael, were very caring.
The property really lacks privacy if you are on the ground floor as we were, as there are no curtains in the shower and the kitchen, meaning anyone in the car park or the garden can see you showering or cooking. The insulation from the sound of the apartment above was sadly not great and we could often hear our upstairs neighbours. We were in room 4 and we were also concerned that the right bedside lamp had a bad electrical connection and flickered constantly, which meant we had to turn it off. Lastly, the toilet door is sadly extremely loud when opened and closed making it impossible not to wake up the whole neighbourhood when going to the toilet in the night.

Verified reviewClean big room and breathtaking view and good internet connection
• So far away from anything on the island and the road to it barely has any street lights • they refused to serve us dinner even though we arrived at the hotel around 1:00PM and immediately asked for it but they said they won’t since their rule is to order before 11:00AM with no exceptions •food was also overpriced which was inconvenient since they don’t have any other restaurants or supermarkets close by • booking does not include any food in your stay not even breakfast • microwave was not working even though they replaced it but the replacement also did not work • the price doesn’t include vat so they ask you to pay extra amount per night per person for your stay • bathroom and shower downstairs had no curtains and it felt uncomfortable as its view is on a walkway and I can see a CTV camera on a tree from that window

Verified reviewThe view was spectacular, sunset was beautiful. Unit #4 (lower level) was perfect as we could step off our patio to the pool, sit on the patio to enjoy our morning coffee in the bright sunlight. Raphaël was absolutely lovely, waiting up for us when our flight was delayed making our nighttime arrival more comfortable. He was always available whenever we had a question about anything. We arranged dinner through Therese & it was absolutely delicious, we had enough leftovers for dinner the next night. We dined at the elevated dining spot overlooking the ocean at sunset, it was magical. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay.
We wished we could have stayed longer.
