How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel and its staff is very nice. Food also top. No complaints. The room was fantastic.
The beach (as I read before) is not very suitable to swimm due to stingrays. If you want to see the island - you need a car or a driver. No other way to come around. Hotel bit off the tracks.

Verified reviewThe staff is an absolute highlight of this hotel - every single person is so incredibly kind, helpful and wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful - it has so much soul and a wonderful atmosphere, definitely not your run-of-the-mill chain hotel. It's located on a pristine beach (with no one in sight), you can eat your breakfast directly by the ocean. The food at the hotel restaurant is also very good. The hotel is very peaceful and will definitely allow you to recharge your batteries. After a day of diving or excursions, you can just relax on your balcony with a view of palm trees and the ocean. There are also quite restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel and a convenience store just across the street. All in all a wonderful stay and I really hope I'll get to come back one day!
The hotel is quite far away from the main action - you can rent a car directly from the hotel, so it might not be an issue at all. If you choose to travel using public transportation, you have to be quite flexible (and patient).

Verified reviewA charming boutique hotel tucked away in a quiet area, offering a peaceful escape with access to a pool and a garden filled with comfortable lounge chairs — the perfect spot to take in breathtaking sunsets. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Jabed at the front desk, whose genuine effort to make our visit enjoyable really stood out. Upon arrival, we received useful information about the island and its attractions. The staff were always ready to assist with booking excursions, arranging taxis, or securing access to the stunning Anse Georgette beach, which is located within the Constance Lemuria resort. We stayed in an ocean-view room on the second floor, which turned out to be an unbeatable vantage point for watching the sun dip below the horizon and – later on, starry nights. The on-site restaurant offers dinner, but it must be booked in advance. We tried it once but didn’t exactly find it worth the price. We ordered the octopus salad and a tuna steak. It was mediocre. Breakfast, on the other hand, was quite enjoyable. For a truly memorable dining experience with delicious food and breathtaking views, we highly recommend visiting The Nest restaurant at the Constance Lemuria Resort — definitely worth the trip. If you're looking for a lively, touristy area with a wide selection of restaurants, this may not be the right fit. This stretch of coastline is quite rural and remote — but also peaceful and serene. It really depends on the kind of experience you're after.
The A/C in our room could use some maintenance — it struggled to cool down the hot, stuffy air. I requested an extra fan, which was promptly provided and made a noticeable difference. While the beach offers direct access to the ocean, swimming wasn't really an option during our stay. The water was full of rays, making it risky to wade in barefoot. It may have been their mating season — we visited in May — so the situation could be different at other times of the year. Worth asking the hotel if swimming at the location is important for you. We traveled around other beaches on the island so we really didn't mind.

Verified reviewIt was a wonderful experience for us, the hotel has beautiful rooms with an ocean view, delicious breakfast and dinner, there are parking lots and the possibility of renting a car, a swimming pool, stable WIFI, special thanks to Ms. Natasha for her professionalism, punctuality, and friendliness. There is no good beach near the hotel, the pool compensates for everything, you have to walk a bit to the beach, but the sunsets are incredible, there are shops with everything you need within a 15-minute walk, the hotel is very good for its price.

Verified reviewIt was a beautiful colonial style building, expressing the true nature of Seychelles. The room we had (family room) was exceptional, with a balcony and wonderful view. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom. The restaurant and bar were also very spacious, and the restaurant served delicious local food, like fresh fish and curries, as well as some international classics for those seeking home comforts, such as carbonara and pizzas. The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to help, and were excellent with our children. The sunset from Grand Anse is stunning, especially with one of the delicious Takamaka cocktails in hand. It was so nice we didn’t want to leave.

Verified reviewThis hotel is perfectly positioned to watch the beautiful sunsets on Praslin. The rooms are comfortable and clean and have stunning sea views. The staff were all super helpful, especially Natasha when we needed help or advice. I especially liked going through the map of Praslin at the start of our visit recommending things to see and do. Would 100% stay there again.

Verified reviewDuring our trip in Seychelles, we stayed in 4 different hotels. Palm Beach Hotel was by far the best. Not only it was affordable, comparing to the rest in Praslin, but the rooms were also clean and had a very nice view of the sea. In addition, the breakfast and especially the dinner were very delicious. For breakfast, every day we had fresh fruit and omelette, among other things, while for dinner, we had octopus with coconut sauce and a parrot fish..so good! On top of all this, Natasha, with her team in the hotel, provided the most exquisite service and were readily available to respond to any of our questions! They provided from the moment we got there some very good tips for the island and the must-see places. I had also forgotten my eyeglasses in the hotel, and Natasha came until the port to hand them over. This was really kind, and I have never experienced anything similar before. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and exceptional service.
