Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaThere's no air conditioning in the chalet (which makes sense), so it took us a day or two to acclimate to the high temperatures of the Seychelles even at night. There is a fan above the bed that helped cool us down though!
The view of the Anse Volbert bay from the lodge is just breathtaking. The staff were very kind the entire time and provided helpful advice about activities on the island, gave us recommendations for restaurants, takeaways and shops. Les messaged us ahead of our arrival on WhatsApp to arrange everything, and was always available to answer any questions or help arrange activities for us. The chalet looks wonderful as well - it makes for a much more exciting stay than a regular hotel room. Nothing beats sitting on the chalet balcony and looking down at the ocean while eating breakfast or having a drink.

RussiaThe first night down at the hotel on the beach there was some kind of festival (or disco) and the music was so loud that we couldn't sleep until 2am. The whole village didn't sleep. We had to call the police twice. This is a periodic event, how often it happens we don't know. The hotel manager was very apologetic, but to be fair there was nothing she could do about it.
Incredible view, hard to imagine better. Nice staff. Large room, large kitchen, everything you need, spacious bathroom. Lots of places to sit, tables. Wonderful veranda. Excellent location - next to one of the best beaches on the island. The cutest geckos run into the room, flying foxes fly in front of the room. We even saw local endemic black parrots.

IndiaBreakfast was 10 euros only continental - fruit etc...should have had a better spread. Did not go for the breakfast due to lack of options.
Lovely view from the cottages of the Cote d'or beach. Spacious and airy rooms. You are right within nature so expect a few harmless bugs and insects in the night. Les is a lovely host. She took such good care of us with recommendations and helping us with a lift up the hill since we dint have a car.

SwitzerlandNot so much didnt like, but you have to be renting a car if you stay here, unless youre super fit and like walking up a mountain everytime you go to the beach haha. The cleaning staff could also have been a tiny bit more friendly.
The views are amazing here and the room/small apartment has everything you need. Les is also super helpful and very available to help if you’ve got any questions. If you love cats and dogs then this is definitely the place for you.

Italyyou should cope with insects in the room (which by the way is normal for the location) and a low cleaning level. For us it was not a problem to have stains on bed sheets and towels (properly washed but still with stains) spider's web in the corners, dirt kitchen utensils, old and already used kitchen spons, ... you shall take it into account when coming here. for us it was perfectly fine because the location and views were dramatic and didn't ruin at all our staying and experience.
the owner and the view are superbs. she offered free of charge an upgrade to a better room. if you wish to fill your eyes of wonderful views this is the right place for you.

United Arab EmiratesThe view for sure was the most amazing part of our stay, but also the kindness of the owner, Lesley, who supported us on everything. The chalet was clean and really nice inside. Also the breakfast was healthy, with a wonderful view! We really enjoyed our stay, and for sure we will be back on day!

HungaryMosquito net, air conditioning would be practical.
I travelled by bus on the island, so it was not easy (but it was OK with 50+) to go up and down to the Mango Lodge on foot, but the panorama was worth it, that was amazing. The apartment was big, and the bed was comfortable. Côte d'Or/Anse Volbert beach was very nice and well-swimmable in this period. Leo's takeaway is highly suggested there. Traveling by bus was quite easy, just use the application, get a bus travel card, and go to the bus stop at least 10 min earlier. It was quite smooth to get to Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette on Sunday by bus, too.

Lesley is the best host! She was super helpful and communicative. She really took care of us as if we were family, offering jetty service, renting a car and providing recommendations for dinner. The views from the lodge are amazing. The rooms are super spacious and have all amenities needed! There is parking right at the front door for small cars.

FranceIt could get hot without an a/c in the morning.
Quite an experience! The wooden bungalow offers a tremendous view on to Côte d'Or. I loved to sleep with the doors of the balcony open and look at the ocean and the stary sky from my bed. A unique experience. A car is recommended, I didn't have one, going down the road was no problem, coming up I got a taxi for 70 Scr (less than 5 €).

We wish we had spent more days there, but we can always come back! The location is very convenient, plenty of take away, restaurants, supermarkets and the fabulous beach of Laszio just a 15 minutes drive by car away!

United KingdomWe stayed 4 days in Mango Lodge and what can I say? I booked this accommodation mostly because of the view, and oh boy, it did not disappoint! It has the most beautiful views of the Cote D'Or Beach below. Absolutely stunning! very cute wooden chalet with everything you need. Equipped kitchen. Spacious bathroom and big bedroom with huge balcony. Yes the property is high up on a hill, so definitely don't recommend for older people with walking difficulties without a car. We did not have a rental car and walked up and down everyday. Yes it is a bit of a workout but nothing too extreme. Took us about 10mins down to the beach, maybe 15mins up the hill. It's 1000% worth it! Lesley, the owner, is super lovely and helpful. We arranged with her in advance to come pick us up at the ferry terminal and she also drove us back on the day of departure. If I ever go back to Praslin, I will def. stay here again!

IndiaWe got the best room in the lodge! The view was fabulous. We got a panoramic view of the azure sea and green foresty mountain from every window. The room was spacious with a kitchen, living room, dining area, separate bedrooms and bathroom. Best of all, the bedroom was open air with no air conditioning - We enjoyed the fresh air and balmy Praslin weather throughout!

RomaniaEven before we arrived, our host, Leslie, was super nice and helpful, providing us with the car service at the jetty. Once we were at the Lodge we were welcomed snd our bags were csrried to our lodge, we had a quick convo in which she explained literally everything we needed to know in order to enjoy our stay on the island. The view is jaw dropping, right up on the hill, we suggest you get a car. Breakfast was served in a timely manner every morning and the room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels. In conclusion, Leslie is an excellent host, always hands on, transparrent and sincere! We loved it there and we love Leslie. We will definitely return and already recomended to our friends and family. Much love from 🇷🇴!

She gave us good recommendations on things to do, places to eat on Pralin. The view from the chalet was amazing, we could not get enough of it! GreeceMy husband and I stayed in the Chalet. It was big and comfortable. The view from the Chalet was amazing. I would appreciate better mattress and pillows at the bed and an AC is more than important in the room due to the humidity and the heat specifically during the day. At night was much more better. Also, eggs at the breakfast would be a good idea!
