Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIt was our first time on the Seychelles and le duc de Praislin could‘t be better as our first hotel here. It was absolutely fantastic. Everybody was so friendly, especially Mohammed from Service at restaurant, the room was so nice, the food was so special every day. When I was ill one day, they really were so helpful. The beach is a dream. Everything you need is there. I once booked spa, which also was a really special Experiance. So thanks to the whole team of le duc, you know how to make us feel, like being home away from home. We really can recommend this hotel 100%👍🏼

United StatesCustomer service and communication with the hotel was pretty bad overall. The customer service generally detracted from the beautiful rooms and location and lessened our enjoyment on our honeymoon. They also have a policy that 2 people can’t sit at a larger open table. So we were forced to wait at the beach restaurant for lunch when a table for 4 was open. It remained empty for more than 2 hours while we ate and went to the beach in front of it. It would be different if anyone else had been waiting for a table, but no one was.
Large room, very comfortable, great pools, buffet food pretty good overall

ItalyThe main downside is the high price, with small but costly details—like the water at dinner—adding up quickly
It’s a beautiful hotel right by the beach, and in terms of appearance and atmosphere, it stands out as one of the best in the area. You can rent activities just in reception. If money not a problem is a nice place to stay

SingaporeNo water was provided with dinner, you had to purchase it and it was pricey. Breakfast could be improved. Compared to how good the dinner was the breakfast was quite disappointing. Scrambled eggs were runny and tasteless and not many good vegetarian options
Great location on the beach as well as 2 swimming pools and a nice beach bar. Comfy beds and big room. The half board dinner was varied and tasty every night.

Romaniathe road to the villa is very narrow and steep so be prepared, especially if you drive on right side of the road the water pressure was very poor, there were 4 baths but you could not realistically use more than 1 at once food at the cafe des arts was kinda meh for our european tastes
check in/check out was very smooth, the staff was great food at. breakfast and dinner also very good, limited options for kids booked the 360 villa and it was amazing in terms of views and facilities the beach is nice and quiet, anse lazio is 15 mins away by car

IsraelThe honeymoon suite is located very close to the beach, with an outdoor shower. It had a walled patio at the entrance with gate, so it felt very private. The room was welcoming and well equipped with a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Great big bathtub and shower. Great dining experience with lots of different choices both at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is around the corner from a small village and has its own beach bar and restaurant right on the ocean. And in the afternoon when you have had enough sun, the swimming pool is perfectly shaded. The spa has a great selection of treatments and professional staff. The reception staff was welcoming and always ready to assist.

Communication with the hotel was impeccable from the start, they provided all necessary information with fast response. Beach is very nice, there is plenty of sunbeds. Food was very good. We liked the gym.

CroatiaBeach is not so well, but if you like to see other attractions and beaches, again, the hotel has an excellent position, and we will come back. Other thing are mosquitoes. They are everywhere on the island, and this is a general issue. In shops is possible to find different types of repelents, but is impossible to by the plug-in electric oil devices, which are very efficient, especially during the night.
The general impression of whole facility is very, very nice. The position is very well, because from there you can make short trips everywhere, and the main attractions are very near. Food was very good and each day different. Staff was very kind and helpful in any situation and moment. Our son was attacked by stingray on the beach, and without asking or calling anyone the car was in the same moment on our disposal and we where in ambulance in 10 minutes. The room was very clean and was supplied with fresh water, new towels, etc. every day. Houses with restaurant are situated in beautiful garden, maintained on daily base. Pools are also nice and well maintained.

LithuaniaThe villa was a 5-minute drive from the hotel, which I didn’t fully realize when booking. But the car rental was included in the price, and you could use it to explore the island, which was a really nice touch!
I stayed in a villa with an amazing view! Both breakfast and dinner were great, and the hospitality and staff were truly top-notch.

SwitzerlandFor our vacation, these weren’t major issues, but a few improvements could enhance the experience: - Beach towel service directly at the beach for convenience. -As the recycling system is still developing, placing dedicated bins for plastic bottles would be a great step, considering the large number used daily.
Le Duc has exceeded our expectations every time. It’s perfectly located on a peaceful white sandy beach, surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden with flowers, trees, statues, and fountains. Robert, the owner, is a fantastic host—warm, attentive and always helpful. When our drone got stuck in a 30-meter tree, the amazing garden team (Shimul, Rafat, Rajib, and Likhon) went out of their way to retrieve it. The food was delicious, with a great variety and a beautifully decorated buffet. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to waiters Saman and Mohammed, the always-smiling Krisha, and many others who made our stay even better. Valentines Day was fantastic. Our ocean-view room was clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. The lighting had multiple settings and the ceiling fan was a great addition. We also appreciated the welcome drink, beach bag, wine, fresh fruit, and water waiting in our room. Don’t miss beach party! :-) We highly recommend La Duc and can’t wait to return!

NorwayLoud music from the bar if you’re booking an ocean room. Saturday Sunday and Wednesday until like 12pm. We did find a cockroach in our room on the last day. Though the room was very clean and they are to be expected in this climate, be careful. The boat excursions offered by the hotel are significantly more expensive than the boat companies around, so do look around.
Great facilities, beautiful rooms, beautiful beach. The food was very good. The pool was beautiful and quiet, the gym was well equipped and not too crowded. The location is also great.

KazakhstanDuring our stay, the air conditioning broke down one evening, leaving us without it for the night. Additionally, the check-in process was a bit slow.
La Duc de Praslin is a wonderful all-inclusive resort with so much to offer. The property boasts a beautifully landscaped territory and cozy, impeccably clean rooms. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are attentive and pleasant, making you feel right at home. The highlight, however, is the stunning beach with its powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach bar is fantastic, offering refreshing cocktails in the evening or a perfect spot for dinner. The hotel owner deserves special mention—he is incredibly attentive to every guest, and the thoughtful gift at the end of the stay is a delightful touch.

AustriaOccasional sand flies. Maybe spray the beach or beach beds with something.
The hotel has a great location, on a long white sand beach, good for walks, the breakfast and dinner buffets were very good with good variety, swimming was warm and easy, for snorkeling you need to take a boat, plenty available, great marine life if you find the right spots. Hotel had gym, massage spa, beach bar, and the owner loves to create a fun atmosphere with music - which was great for New Year’s Eve. Hotel has a family feeling rather than a resort type, which makes it comfy and easy to stay at.

Our stay at Le Duc de Praslin was nothing short of magical, and it truly made our babymoon unforgettable. The hotel’s highlights were the exceptional fresh food, the pristine beach, and the breathtaking views from the Cafe des Art Bar—each detail added something special to our experience. The food deserves a special mention. Every meal was a delight, with fresh, flavorful ingredients that showcased the best of Seychelles’ cuisine. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the attention to quality and taste was evident, making dining at the hotel an experience we eagerly looked forward to each day. The location of the hotel is a dream. The pristine beach is perfect for relaxing, with its soft sand, turquoise waters, and tranquil vibe. Spending time there was a highlight, offering peace and serenity that’s hard to find elsewhere. The Cafe des Art Bar was another standout. Sitting there with panoramic views of the ocean and lush surroundings while sipping on refreshing drinks created unforgettable moments. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Praslin, especially during sunset. We also want to give special recognition to Jennine at reception. She was a true gem and an incredible source of information. Whether it was offering recommendations, helping us plan our activities, or simply ensuring our needs were met, Jennine went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and willingness to help made such a difference, and we felt truly cared for throughout our visit. Another unique aspect of our stay was the presence of Robert, the owner. It’s rare to find an owner who is so hands-on and actively engaged in ensuring every detail of the hotel runs smoothly. He made himself available to guests, offering a friendly face and a listening ear while overseeing operations with care and precision. Robert’s dedication and personal involvement added a special touch, making us feel even more valued and welcome.
