How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe property itself is a masterpiece of architecture and design. The lobby exudes a sense of elegance with its tranquil colour scheme, glass decor and tastefully curated artwork. My room was a haven of comfort, boasting of a stunning view. The attention to detail in the room was evident, with every element carefully chosen to create a harmonious and inviting ambiance. Every feature of the property was stunning from the pool to the panoramic views. The staff are the heart and soul of this establishment. From the concierge who greeted us upon our arrival to the attentive housekeeping staff. The concierge not only provided excellent suggestions for sightseeing and dining but also took the time to help arrange all transportation and possible costs. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless and for that I’m very grateful.

Commitment to customer service. Delicious dinners, beautifully served, great service and entourage of whole meal - views and music.
Only far from the beach, you have to take a taxi or rent a car and the nearest beach is unfortunately currently in a bad condition.

Verified review- Beautiful views - very quiet - not crowded (and no small children allowed) - friendly and helpful staff - comfortable and nicely decorated rooms
- shower is open, the entire bathroom floor gets wet after showering, a glass divider would easily solve this issue - no beach at the property - if someone is already laying by the beautiful lower pool, then basically no one else can join as there’s only one lounge set for 2 persons available. Maybe converting that deck area covered in artificial grass into a wooden deck and adding more lounge sets would make the pool more accessible for other guests as well - food is good and tasty but overpriced

Verified reviewThe best staff, you are simply surrounded by care all the time! Delicious food, tried a lot from the menu - very tasty, the wine is wonderful! I highly recommend trying the homemade rum. If you appreciate beauty, details, care, comfort, tranquility and silence - you definitely need to visit this place.

Verified reviewWe still have two more nights at Le Châtteau de feuilles, but I couldn’t stop myself from writing our review already now. (Any surprises that might still happen during the rest of our stay can only be positiv - based on our out of this world experience so far) Travelling around the world - this was another level, top notch experience you have to book for yourself and your partner. From the moment you enter the hotel you are gonna feel ZEN and nothing else until the rest of your vacation there. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, super clean - they are really taking care of _every_ _single_ _detail_! The view from the rooms, the restaurant, the jacuzzi - I would say from any spot on the land of the hotel - is breathtaking. I never ever had an experience where I left my phone in the room on purpose - just because everything else around me was more than enough. Considering the fact that they have only a small amount of rooms - it is really, really quiet. I have honestly never experienced that in a hotel. You are gonna have the pool and probably also the jacuzzi for yourself. The variety of music playlist they are having in the background is top! And last but not least… the staff - (dare I repeat myself) out of this world! From Avi to all the other guys and girls taking care of you. Just a huge applause! So synchronized, grounded, peaceful, happy, zen - I can’t stop giving them all the nicest adjectives. And the chef cook and his guys and girls 🙈 I definitely want to do some workshop at their place (make one, please!), learn some new skills and make my taste buds explode every single day - because that’s how we felt there. We had a huge list of restaurants we wanted to try. In the end - we (on purpose) stayed in the hotel restaurant - from breakfast to lunch to the dinner - Creolan or 4 gang dinner - you aren’t gonna regret trying all of it! Really awesome, guys! You gave us something most valuable!
