Breakfast was basic but adequate to start the day. However, breakfast hours were restricted to between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. As a result, we couldn’t have breakfast on the last day, as we had a ferry at 8:00 a.m.

We had two rooms on the first floor for four people. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also spacious, though only a bar of soap was provided. Towels were clean and changed daily. The hotel is located on a road with limited lighting at night, so a torch is recommended. There are a few good eateries within a 10-minute walk.

Staff was fantastic and very helpful. They arrange for us transport and also trip to Curieuse Island. After the check-out We could use outside shower and leave our bags.

Breakfast was good, but more variety would be even better. Location was fine too. We even got a free upgrade to suite, which was very neat from the host!

The beds were not great. Very hard beds, but I am also very sensitive. The lighting was very bright and florescent. Beds and lights definitely need to be updated.

It was a beautiful property! They had tortoises on the property that were very well taken care of. Definitely a highlight of the stay. It was very clean also! The staff was amazing and very accommodating!

La Modestie Guest House is a modest yet charming and tranquil place to stay. The bed and room were spacious, and the mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very helpful. Conveniently located just a 5-8 minute walk from the bus stop, the guest house is easily accessible by bus, even when traveling with an 18-month-old. There's no need to take a taxi from the ferry port unless you arrive after 6 pm, as the buses stop running around that time.

Cons: - breakfast is pretty poor (egg derivates, some fruits, bread and jam) - same everyday - no water provided in the room upon arrival - no water provided for breakfast - no mosquito nests - room light was very poor when it gets dark outside - the water from bathroom was very dirty with sand in it

Pros: - good position, near the forest, quite area - private free parking - big room - we were able to do the check-in before it was scheduled - the host help us with a car rental (a very good one for a good price) - hairdryer available - AC works very well

1) AC was very far from the bed. So the cooling was never good. 2) The stay was few meters away from the main street which had no street lights. Hence without a car it's different to commute at night. 3) More lights are required in the room since it is big

The rooms were big and beautiful, big windows , well lit also the washroom was very spacious. The aesthetic of the stay was very well done exactly the same as in the pictures. Restaurants, beach, supermarket, busstop everything was nearby.

Apartment is ground level in the garden. Expect some insect visits, especially during cooking. We killed about 7 cockroaches. There is a large gap beneath the door where they are getting in. We recommend installation of some net to the door. Lot of light in the room during night due to security light in the garden. It was solved by the staff by adding a towel as a curtain.

Appreciate cleaning of the apartment everyday, helpful reception. Good communication and assistance.

It was a 10 min ride from praslin jetty, we were welcomed by the Guy named Ranjit who is a sri lankan he served refreshing welcome drink and helped us with our luggage to our room, the room was spacious with very big bathroom , they provided kettle, mini fridge, tea/coffee . The indian  grocery store , Grand Anse beach and a takeaway is 2 min walking distance from guest house ,the breakfast area was nice and the hotel also have tortoises in the garden, the breakfast was decent with eggs, fruits, milk/tea/coffee , bread and fresh juice. The manager too was friendly she helped us in renting car and also arranged jetty transfer and also recommended the places to visit.Ranjit was very friendly he can speak hindi,English and a little french,also the guest house is near to Praslin airport and Anse Georgette beach.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place! Rooms are big, with high ceilings, beds are good and pillows are cozy, everything is clean, breakfast is very good! The people are wonderful, helpful and friendly. Helped us to buy transport card, told about the ways to the most beautiful beaches. We enjoyed walking paths from Ans Lazio

We were upgraded to a better room, which was incredible! We had more space, and terrace available for us. Breakfast were good, included eggs, bread, local fruits. Additionally, there turtles on the possession that you could feed and take photos of! Guest house is located in the middle of island, close to the road and beaches. We highly recommend this place!!

Under the table, bed and sofa was a lot of dust. Nobody cleaned under this for months. Beach was ful of sea weed , so we drive every day to Cote d'or. Not a location to do anything.

The employees there not so polite, the rooms are big but without desk and chairs, where you can eat, we also did not have a warm water. For the price it is not acceptable, no kitchen or place you can cook, you have to pay extra. There are some improvements for this house definitely.
