Location, size, cleanliness

Had to ask for coffee sachets as they are not replenished everyday.

The feel of being in the jungle and secluded was amazingly peaceful! It is gorgeous here and staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved it def would stay again! Very budget friendly and clean. AC great hot shower comfy bed so worth it for the price. The turtles, flowers and picking fruit off the tree were added bonus!

Be very careful when booking! Ask specifically which room you are booking as there are many confusing pix. Thought we booked a spacious apartment but ended up in a room upstairs which also had rooms above it. Did not want to climb steps but had no choice! Very disappointed but lesson learned on my part.

Pillows were great. And terrase!!

The equipment in the kitchen was a bit outdated.

We had two rooms on the first floor for four people. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also spacious, though only a bar of soap was provided. Towels were clean and changed daily. The hotel is located on a road with limited lighting at night, so a torch is recommended. There are a few good eateries within a 10-minute walk.

Breakfast was basic but adequate to start the day. However, breakfast hours were restricted to between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. As a result, we couldn’t have breakfast on the last day, as we had a ferry at 8:00 a.m.

Spacious enough for 2 people, cozy room that had everything we needed for a weekend away

Staff was fantastic and very helpful. They arrange for us transport and also trip to Curieuse Island. After the check-out We could use outside shower and leave our bags.

Nothing worth to mention.

Breakfast was good, but more variety would be even better. Location was fine too. We even got a free upgrade to suite, which was very neat from the host!

The host was helpful and gave good tips! The accommodation was clean and the location was quite good. The bus stop is a short walk away.

1. There is no sports channel on TV. I couldn't watch the premier league 2. For 2 days, you failed to supply coffee in your tray

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place! Rooms are big, with high ceilings, beds are good and pillows are cozy, everything is clean, breakfast is very good! The people are wonderful, helpful and friendly. Helped us to buy transport card, told about the ways to the most beautiful beaches. We enjoyed walking paths from Ans Lazio

It was a beautiful property! They had tortoises on the property that were very well taken care of. Definitely a highlight of the stay. It was very clean also! The staff was amazing and very accommodating!

The beds were not great. Very hard beds, but I am also very sensitive. The lighting was very bright and florescent. Beds and lights definitely need to be updated.

We were upgraded to a better room, which was incredible! We had more space, and terrace available for us. Breakfast were good, included eggs, bread, local fruits. Additionally, there turtles on the possession that you could feed and take photos of! Guest house is located in the middle of island, close to the road and beaches. We highly recommend this place!!

La Modestie Guest House is a modest yet charming and tranquil place to stay. The bed and room were spacious, and the mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very helpful. Conveniently located just a 5-8 minute walk from the bus stop, the guest house is easily accessible by bus, even when traveling with an 18-month-old. There's no need to take a taxi from the ferry port unless you arrive after 6 pm, as the buses stop running around that time.

Room is spaceous.

Under the table, bed and sofa was a lot of dust. Nobody cleaned under this for months. Beach was ful of sea weed , so we drive every day to Cote d'or. Not a location to do anything.

Pros: - good position, near the forest, quite area - private free parking - big room - we were able to do the check-in before it was scheduled - the host help us with a car rental (a very good one for a good price) - hairdryer available - AC works very well

Cons: - breakfast is pretty poor (egg derivates, some fruits, bread and jam) - same everyday - no water provided in the room upon arrival - no water provided for breakfast - no mosquito nests - room light was very poor when it gets dark outside - the water from bathroom was very dirty with sand in it

Rooms lightings was dull & low brightness

The rooms were big and beautiful, big windows , well lit also the washroom was very spacious. The aesthetic of the stay was very well done exactly the same as in the pictures. Restaurants, beach, supermarket, busstop everything was nearby.

1) AC was very far from the bed. So the cooling was never good. 2) The stay was few meters away from the main street which had no street lights. Hence without a car it's different to commute at night. 3) More lights are required in the room since it is big
