How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA very good location. 100 meters from Anse Patates beach, in our opinion one of the most beautiful beaches. The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere, and a good breakfast is served in a beautiful location (with an ocean view). The hotel has double rooms. We were a family of four and received two adjoining rooms with adjoining balconies. All rooms have ocean views. We stayed for five days and rented bikes for two. It's a short walk to the center for food and light shopping. The place met our expectations, but it definitely needs a little renovation. Although that didn't bother us at all. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. We had an early morning ferry back and received a packed breakfast to go :) You can also take advantage of the free transfer to or from the port – just contact the property in advance. La Digue Island is wonderful. We recommend this place to everyone.
Certain elements of the facility require renovation and refreshing

Verified reviewGreat property really well located at a great view point, excellent balcony view, space aplenty, decent breakfast and the boss, Sachin, is the nicest of many people I met on my trip, really top guy that made the stay even better. it's not 5* but it's perfect for 5 days in La Digue, highly recommend, rent bikes and explore every inch of the island. Sunset at Bellvue snackbar is a must, ditch the bikes as you begin the steep uphill walk.

Verified reviewThe location is perfect, the view is amazing the entire day from the balcony and the rocks near the hotel are a great place for snorkeling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good, both the breakfast and the à la carte menu, the food is much better and cheaper than in some other places. Overall it has great value for the money.
The property is a little old and some bigger windows would have been great for the amazing view, but it was pretty comfortable. Also in the rooms on the last floor it gets quite hot during the day if you don't leave the A/C functioning the entire day, but at least there was a fan in the room besides the A/C.

Verified reviewLocation was fantastic, beautiful views and a quieter part of the ocean. Breakfast was good , however it would be a nice option to have brown bread toast . Everything else was sufficient and fresh.
Hot water supply in our unit 1 was mostly cold.

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The highlight was definitely the breakfast – an excellent selection including a fresh fruit plate, eggs, a delicious dessert, a refreshing smoothie, and of course, tea and coffee. Everything was well-prepared and tasted great. Another big plus was the hotel's location, as the beautiful Anse Patates Beach was just nearby, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery. Additionally, the free buggy ride from the ferry to the hotel and back was a fantastic convenience that made the arrival and departure hassle-free. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Verified reviewThis Hotel is wonderful. Location is amazing, stuff was extremely helpful and kind. Special thanks to Mr Sachin and the two ladies. Breakfast is perfect with its Ocean view, amazing fresh local fruits, and juices etc. They take a lot care about continuos maintenance. Room is clean, Ocean can be heard, perfect for sleeping, nothing more is needed as you will spend your whole day on different part on this exotic island.
Ocean view is disturbed by the half of the restaurant roof. That is why 1st floor rooms are suggested. Interesting, but in case of wind or storm sound of palm leaves can be disturbing during the night. Breakfast is nice, however some more variety would be suggested, not just eggs and pancakes, which can be boring after 4-5 days.

Staff was rude. Did not help with the luggage at all. No power backup during power outage. Only cold water available - no hot water. Rooms were unclean - spiders, ants and mosquitoes aplenty in the rooms

Verified reviewIt is the last moment to visit this place and expirience such a view for a decent price. In Autumn hotel will be demolished and new hotel with pools will be built there (for sure much more expensive). Place is very clean, stuff is friendly and helpfull. Transfer was organized without any additional fees, view from balcony and hotel restaurant is amazing. Breakfasts are varied and you get coffe/coffe with milk for free what is not so obvious on Seychelles. One of attached photos shows view at sunrise from balcony in the room - it is breathtaking expirience to observe changing collors with morning coffee in your hand. There are 3 very friendly small cats, that sometimes visits you. Please feed them like we did.
