Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThey say they will charge you before getting there, but it seems in the end they only accept cash. Be sure you pay exact amount or they will not return you any change. Also, cats are not under control of owners

DenmarkShared kitchen. not villa, but private rooms. Very hot at the balcony in the afternoon because of no wind in the garden (but is was otherwise fine!)
Very Friendly staff. You get what you pay for. What to expect for the cheapest place in the area. Local vibe.

SlovakiaIt needs a bit renovation, the building is definitely a bit shabby, but that’s not something that makes it unusable for guests. But the kitchen is DIRTY. As long as you get takeaway and don’t cook, you will be fine. I mean, we did cook some food but we had to was everything before use and it still felt icky, nothing a good deep clean of the whole place wouldn’t fix. But there is a lit of restaurants around and great take-away options, so you can eat on budget even without cooking.
It was the cheapest one on Praslin so I got exactly what I expected. We had clean bed linen and towels every day, working air conditioning, running hot water, a garden with outdoor sitting. Overall, I think for the price that it costs, it was fine.

The host is excellent ...very knowledgeable about the island. She called a hotel on our behalf so that we could go to anse Georgette. She is really professional and nice to talk with. She made us feel like at home. A shared kitchen with all amenities could be used during our stay. The room had a ceiling fan and the air conditioning. United KingdomNeeds an update. Bed linen could have been much fresher. Mattress worn out. Little privacy if in a garden room. Could hear our neighbours talking all night.( when do they sleep??? that was annoying)) All in all, reasonable value for a homestead. . But we just would have appreciated everything being fresher. As new residencies come on line standards will challenge. . Everything has to be clean. . . Everything in the communal area needed a good wash or replacing!! Many bulbs needed replacing as poor light in the garden rooms.
Lovely place (but maybe needs the owner to check it out now and then.) Very helpful, sweet lady looking after us. Nice stroll to the beach.

PolandIt's ok for one night.but no more than that. For this price I would expect way more. There was not even wifi in the room. You could use it only outside of the building which in pouring rain was very inconvenient. The owner was pressuring us 3 weeks before our arrival for the exact check in hour, which was very annoying and uncomfortable. It's located 5 mins from the beach amd restaurants however it is extremely dark to walk at night.

SerbiaI feel the low rating this property has received is unnecessary and doesn’t reflect the reality of our experience. The hosts were extremely helpful, warm, and welcoming, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything a traveler might need — including universal adapters for the power outlets, which was a very considerate touch. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and we had plenty of storage space. Everything was well-maintained and clearly cared for. The environment felt safe and peaceful. I’d especially like to clarify a common misunderstanding: there are no wild dogs around. The dogs mentioned in some reviews belong to the neighbors and are very gentle, just looking for attention and affection — nothing to worry about at all.

FranceThe access to the villa by night is maybe not ideal for female solo traveler, if you don't have a car that is, about 200 meters off the main road with no lightening but still feasible.
Coco Bay Villa is simple but everything you need is there. I had a very nice room with 2 large double beds, air conditioning, fan, private fridge, safe, etc. The room was very clean and everything was functioning. Ritha was very kind and helpful at any time. She is the good soul of the house. It was all in all good value for money.

United KingdomCoco Bay Villa is by far the best-value stay in Côte d’Or, and I’m surprised more reviews don’t highlight just how affordable it is compared to everything else in the area, the current review rate doesn’t really reflect how much cheaper this property is. You’re literally two minutes away from beautiful Anse Volbert beach, with a great restaurant across the road and a takeaway and supermarket just a short walk away — it’s perfectly located for convenience and relaxation. But what truly made our stay special was Ritha, the host. She went above and beyond to help us with everything — arranging drivers, sorting laundry, and even assisting with buying a new phone when ours broke. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home and turned a good stay into a memorable one. If you’re looking for a simple, affordable, and well-located place to stay in Praslin, Coco Bay Villa is the hidden gem you’re after.

RomaniaI booked a standard chalet room with terrace, internet and all other facilities specified on booking. I received a room in the back of the yard without internet access, without safe box (they told me it is broken) and without terrace. Also, in the room there was an information that I can use the air conditioning just between 18:00 and 09:00, which is not specified on booking. The most annoying part is that in the room were two jeckos which were coming from the ceiling and were making a loud noise in the night, impossible to sleep. Also, the room was full of ants, because the doors had such big holes that you can see outside trough it. I asked how to have internet access and they put me a chair in the middle of the yard and told me to stay there if I want internet, because all the terraces were for the other guests. Staying on that chair, in one evening, I saw a big rat near me. After two nights they moved me in another room, which was the room I booked from the beginning and gave me a discount for the first two nights, but the experience of the first two nights made me feel unsafe there. Before to leave, I asked the lady Ritha to reserve a taxi for me, in the next morning at 10:30 and telling her that I will leave the room at 10 o’clock and I will stay on terrace for half an hour, because the ferry was leaving at 11:30. She confirmed me that is ok, but in the next morning at 09:55 she came at my door and told me that I must go, because the taxi was waiting me outside.
The only thing I liked is that is close to Anse Volbert beach.
