How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bed had saggy mattress They give a bottle of water on the first day of your stay but the water machine (condense from air) was ALWAYS empty. 1 machine for the entire hotel is clearly not enough. They sell it as 'green' as you reuse the plastic but it was just to make money as most people kept buying more plastic. Stingy

Verified reviewThe villa was amazing. sea view, build and decorated with taste with a lot of space and a private pool. We really enjoyed the time there between our island exploration trips. Praslin is also a good place for a day trip to La Digue. The employees were nice and helpful (except see below).
The Manager with big ears was just terrible. When I raised the issue with the internet, he said if we do not like something - "I do not mind if you leave". Absolutely unacceptable attitude. I wanted to put a 1 but the property and the other staff do not deserve this.

Not maintained property and not worth the ratings on booking.com - they made us wait for two hours to get our room. When we finally got our family room, noticed that sewage smell from bathroom was coming. When I complained, the manager of the property moved us to a smaller room for 1 night and upgraded us to half board package. The next day when another family room was available, they moved us to that room - property basically do not have an access to the beach, there was no shore, not sure if that’s the case always or due to high tide - me and my daughter got hurt in the swimming pool because of the strange steps they made in the pool. There are three steps to the pool, which is inside the water. However the third step has different measurements compared to other two steps. Also it has sharp tile edges. We were bleeding badly because of such unscientific pool they made - baby pool was very dirty, it’s not clean and we could see lot of dead bugs and dirt

Starting with the food would tAKE 40 mins , the quantity was poor, secondly food came wrong INRIGDENT and went to the wrong person next days order, my kids would say that the room the housekeeping would not change towels , showers would not work they ended up im our bathroom,one night in the middle of the night fans did not work , I spite of complaining to tge recipiont about the phones that would not ring in our room

Verified reviewThe property is located in a beautiful setting and has a stunning view of the sunset. The staff are incredibly polite and welcoming and tend to all your needs without a fuss and very quickly. The decor is outdated in the rooms but we can see pat this and see the charm of this beautiful little hotel. We ate at the hotel restaurant each night and the food was exceptional! Best we’ve had in all the 11 days we stayed in the Seychelles. This is a must stay in Praslin!

Verified reviewThe room were spacious, the property is located by the beach so the view is nice. The hotel has potential if they improve.
The hotel needs improvements and restoration as it’s outdated. Not a 4* but rather 3*, if I was aware maybe I wouldn’t be disappointed. The mattress was dent and we were asking for it to be changed but nothing happened, on the last day after another reminder there was some extra duvet added, which didn’t help much. I had an issue with a breakfast staff as they refused to give me a bigger glass for water as I needed to take my medication, they said small glass is enough… when complained I was told that the staff is not trained and later been offered a dinner which was a good gesture but still- if staff is not well trained shouldn’t serve the guests. Overally food needs improvement.

Verified reviewThe pictures showned on the booking app didn’t match with the reality. 4 sun bed for the whole pool. No real accès to the beach. The bed isn’t confortable. The mattress was shape down.

Once completed, we will feature our improved representation. While more emphasis is on sun beds facing the sea, we have now added more sun beds at the pool deck as this will attract guests who prefer to be at the pool. Access to the beach remains through steps. Moving forward we are expected to restore and improve mobility access to the beach that will help aged guests and children on time for the festive seasons. As a raised concern the hotel are investing on mattress. This will soon be in past with our new shipment early next year. Attitude of the restaurant staff only focusing on particular guests even though called for many times ignoring like no one is there, food was good but it should be served by them where they don’t do that
