How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewThe apartment is new, modern, and incredibly spacious, offering stunning views from every angle. The layout was perfect for our family, with two floors, two bathrooms, and an additional guest toilet, providing plenty of comfort and privacy. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, allowing us to check in at 9 am after our night flight—a true lifesaver after a long and tiring journey. The breakfast was a delightful start to each day, featuring eggs cooked to your preference, a generous serving of fresh fruits, pancakes, bread, and homemade jam. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the appliances you could need, including a full-size stove, a large fridge, a coffee machine, an iron, and even a washing machine. We also were provided with beach towels, which lately turned out to be a rarity in the Seychelles.
Overall, we were fully satisfied. One thing to note: it's advisable to have a car during your stay. The road leading to the property is quite steep, and there aren't many interesting places within walking distance. For a touch of perfection, I would suggest improving the water pressure in the shower and addressing the slight smell in the kitchen cupboards, likely due to the humidity.

You need a car

It is unfortunate that the hilly location that we are in was not to your satisfaction. Some people like the greenery and chirping of birds and others would rather be on a busy road. A car is certainly a must in the Seychelles, no matter where you are located. It is also an advantage for sightseeing, shopping and getting to remote places. The whole apartment was clean, the location was great as it is really easy to access the beaches and not too far from the airport. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. You also never start the day hungry - the staff made everything from local ingredients and down with love!

Type G (UK) power sockets, (universal sockets in living room next to tv), just remember to bring adaptors.

Our stay was sorrow, it started when we were told by the host that she cannot accomodate us due to a Booking.com glitch and overbooking although we had a confirmed booking and amounth retained from my card. She facilitate us to go Milles Montagne without informing officially Booking.com. This happening just hours before our flight, we had no other option but to accept. We reached at the alternative acomodation where on the 3rd day we were robbed during the night, while we were sleeping, in a very suspecious way. Someone entered our room, where us and our kids were sleeping and grabbed our backpack, that had the passports as well, took their time to go through it and take a sum of aproximate 900$ in various currencies then leave the backpack on the outside porch. We called police the second day only to find out that the security cameras on the property are conveniently NOT functional, although on location profile ot said they are working. During that night the hosts left the main gate wide opened dismissing any security measures that they should have enforced. Upon returning in the evening that day we found the huge mirror from one of the bathrooms collapsed from the frame due to termite damage. Feeling like survivors and evidently not safe, we prioritized the safety of our kids and shortened our stay by 3 days, departing from the property. In an ill attempt to provide service recovery, the host offered us 100 Euro, handing us the most towrn and over used bill she had, that was refused at the exchange currency. It took me few days to recolect after the swirl of events and to manage to sit and put in brief our remarkable experience.

Verified reviewVery friendly and helpful staff! ABSOLUTELY new property, spacious and cozy. You can hear and watch the birds and the sea view is magnificent. Best beaches are close to the place (Anse Intendance - with big waves, Anse Louise - calm and picturesque ideal bounty beach, Fairyland - a small beautiful beach a bit further, closer to Victoria) The house is made for long stay, you would not want to leave.
The place is on the hill, a bit remote from seaside, (10 minutes walk) but to get best experience on Mahe you will need a car anyway.
