Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Moroccothe lighting in the room could be improved, and the toilets were quite poor compared to the rest of the hotel. Given the price of the stay, I believe more effort should be made on this aspect.
The welcome was excellent — the young women at the reception were very friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and the whole setting of the hotel was charming. I also really enjoyed the extra facilities: a tennis court, a pool table to have fun, and even a tortoise on site — truly fabulous! Dinner at the hotel was also very good, and the servers were friendly and attentive.

United KingdomExtremely expensive for what it is. We paid £1300ish for 4 nights. The gym is a tiny room with a treadmill and a bench, but no weights. The drinks - €10 minimum per cocktail. I am more than happy to pay €10 per drink when they are good drinks. The “cocktails” were the kind of cocktails you would receive at an all inclusive package hotel.
The staff were amazing, they couldn’t do enough for us. Our room included breakfast, and the choice every day was brilliant. The room itself was extremely comfortable - we were 2 adults and had the family garden room fit for 4 people, so we had ample space. The pool in the garden area was brilliant - very calm and relaxing.

LuxembourgThe hotel restaurant was a lot more expensive than the local restaurants nearby that provide tasteful dishes (we loved the evenings at the Zilwa reggae bar!)
Beautiful hotel very well located on the rather calm area of Praslin with easy connection to all the beautiful beaches and the Vallée de May as well as Fond Ferdinand. The staff is very welcoming, nice and professional. Our room was right in front of the beach which provided a fantastic view as soon as we opened the curtains. Tea and cakes are provided by the swimming pool at tea-time - delicious!

AustriaPerhaps the hotel could purchase more towels for the pool area. There were several occasions when we had to wait for fresh towels because the laundry wasn’t finished yet… The shower in the room is raised higher than the rest of the bathroom floor. Unfortunately, this leads to daily flooding, especially when staying there as a whole family.
The Bliss Hotel Praslin is beautiful; the entire property is truly stunning. The pool and restaurant area, in particular, are incredibly relaxing. What impressed us the most was the outstanding service in the bar and restaurant. Ishan is so attentive to the needs and wishes of the guests that you simply have to feel comfortable with him and his team (but especially with him!).

Switzerlandabsolutely nothing..
We spent nine nights at the Bliss Hotel. Small breakfast but certainly something for everyone. Pool and sea access always clean, plenty of space for everyone. The resraurant of the hotel and the food was always fresh and tasted very good. The team was super friendly and always helpful. Especially Ishan, Thivanka and Rhynie made our stay special. We would definitely come back again.

RomaniaThe breakfast was okay but not great for the price (this also goes for the other food, we did not try one of the buffets, they had creole. Indian, barbeque buffets, the à la carte menu is not great, imo). For the room we stayed in it was a bit weird that you can see from the stairs inside the shower and toilet (maybe it would be best to change the curtains).
The location and view is amazing, the beach is pretty great, although the water is a bit murky, there are good restaurants nearby (if you don't enjoy the food from the hotel's restaurant), the staff is very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning is very good and the room was big with a great balcony pool and view.

CanadaBreakfast was wonderful - fresh and assorted. The room was large and looked out at the sea. The location was also perfect, bus stop right outside and a close walk to the village for meals. Thivanka at reception was absolutely wonderful, she made sure my needs were met and always had a friendly smile and genuine hello.

PolandAt the time we were at Praslin, there was a lot of sea weed from this side of the island, but there is a lot of beautiful alternatives
It is a very nice hotel. It is located near the long beautiful beach. Personel is very friendly, and helpful (they helped us to organize everything we needed) Food in the restaurant is very good and the prices are ok. Spa center is really good! We rent a car for a few days to look around the island - another 'no problem' task for the hotel reception - thank you very much.

GermanyJust one thing. We had a “double” Bungalow. It means there are too Rooms on each bungalow side and it is divided nice on the outside but it had a door inside. So you could hear everything from the neighbours rooms. ( of course the door is closed / locked if you just rent one room ) Besides that good stay.
Beautiful, clean and quiet with nice garden / park / pools. Very kind staff

RomaniaWe got the "candle light dinner" on a evening and the value for that was 150 EUR. Honestly, that was definetly too expensive for the content of the dinner. In general, the food is really good here, but the candle light dinner valued at 150 EUR is way too much for what is offered.
Staff is really helpfull at all times. The food is really good at all times. The pools are really clean at all times.

PeruThere was nothing we didn't like. We loved the place. Well, the beach at the front was windy, but it might be because of the month we stayed there.
The bungalow was very comfy, and the hotel facilities were good enough. Breakfast in the morning was varied. The hotel crew was nice and allowed us to do a late checkout.

United KingdomI'm not really sure what this hotel wants to be. The beach side is separated from the garden side by a road, which although not an issue, makes the hotel very large and I think it could benefit with downsizing. Or change what is on offer, a gym for example would accompany what the spa offers. No real need for the tennis courts! The garden side also felt a little separated from the main hotel and many people had brought drinks from the local shop to drink on their veranda rather than use the hotels facilities which is a shame. But then again the bar/evening vibe wasn't appealing The beach side pool area looked very tired and in need of some TLC. Seats and cushions need updating. The bar and restaurant area were nondescript. A change in lighting or music might alter the mood from breakfast to dinner and give a more intimate feel in the evenings. The evening buffet was fairly expensive for what it was, but there aren't many options in the area. Breakfast was repetitive and could be improved; croissants shouldn't be hard. However the chef at the egg station was very friendly! The beach is far from the best in the Seychelles and offers little shade so it's not really an option. Also this hotel does not provide beach towels, they provide the equivalent of blankets which are thin, and often with holes. The linens, although I could tell they had been cleaned, were stained; towels, pillows and sheets. Not ideal when I consider the price we paid for five nights. The hotel might be four star if you carry out a tick box survey but in reality it is not even close.
The garden pool area Efficient A/C in the garden room The spa therapist was very good and worth the money A lot of potential but money needs to be spent here!
