Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel worker checking me out didn’t want to accept my card (used for booking) and totally refused to take card payments for food and drinks. She finally agreed to accept card for my accommodation but kept stopping me from entering my PIN number and this caused some issues with my bank. As a solo traveller, I don’t travel with lots of cash so this was a nasty surprise. Make sure to bring tens of thousands of rupees so this doesn’t happen to you.
An idyllic location - one of the most beautiful and tranquil bays on Mahe. Paradise! The room was comfortable and the owner and (nearly all!) staff were so kind and friendly. Highly recommended!

United KingdomBeautiful location on a lovely little, picturesque beach with some fairly good snorkelling. I arrived early at the resort due to my flight and the staff kindly checked me in and upgraded my room. Room was great…super clean and spacious. Fridge, hairdryer etc provided. A nice quiet atmosphere and a great place to relax.Breakfast was decent ..fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, decent coffee etc. Possibly breakfast could be varied a bit more, particularly for guests who stay longer as it tended to be the same everyday. Restaurant offered a good lunch and dinner menu. Drinks in the restaurant were expensive including drinking water. ..come prepared! A taxi from the airport to the hotel cost 60 euros (arranged by hotel). If you want to explore the island you will need a car as there is no public transport going near the hotel. If you are happy to swim, snorkel and relax then it is ideal. WiFi was ok but it wasn’t always reliable.

GermanyAnse Soleil Beachcomber is situated nicely remote in a calm bay. That made it very interesting and relaxing. Having a rental was beneficial to get there and explore the rest of the area independently. The self catering rooms are spacious and well equipped. You should enjoying making breakfast by yourself. The beach is beautiful, looks like they clean it regularly and not too busy

SpainThe location is isolated and very private. This was perfect for us as we were enjoying two days there at the end of our trip and were planning on relaxing on the beach. However, you would need to rent a car if you want to see more of the island or want to go shopping or go to restaurants. The hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up at the Ferry port on our arrival and a Taxi to take us ( unwillingly)back the airport
The location is fantastic, right on the best beach in Mahé, Anse Soleil. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem and everything was performed in the smiling Seychelleoise style. The restaurant was amazing , we had dinner there twice and lunch once. Each meal was incredible, the varying coconut curries were delicious and the whole grilled fish was fabulous. There is also a very decent wine menu at reasonable prices which we made good use of. We had a self catering chalet which was very spacious, had stunning views over the bay and ocean, surrounded by lush vegetation. The chalet itself was very comfortable providing a big bedroom, large bathroom , ample storage for clothes, a lounge and very well equipped kitchen. The refrigerator was stocked with eggs, bread, milk, fruit juice, butter and various conserves which was a lovely touch and very useful as we had breakfast each morning on our beautiful terrace admiring the inspirational views. Being on the beach, the Hotel offers all sorts of goodies for you to enjoy. We took out snorkeling gear ( masks and fins) out for the day and had a great day discovering the unending variety of unbelievably coloured fishes. We also spotted some sea turtles, sting rays and small manta rays!! There are also paddle surf boards and kayaks for use. Unfortunately we could not use the late check out as the resort was fully booked, but they very kindly provided us with a day room for private use. Here we could leave our luggage safely and when departure time came we could have a nice shower before our travels. This was a very nice surprise. Many thanks for an unforgettable stay

SwedenThe beds were somewhat hard and not the most comfortable ones. We had some massive rainfalls during the stay, which was not a problem in itself, but there is a creek flowing out into the ocean at the beach, and when there is heavy rain a lot of debris, sand as well as parasites (from still standing water up in the mountains) floods out into the bay. It will clear up in a day or so, but just be aware. But then you can always take a walk to the neibouring Petite Anse while it clears.
The facilities are not the most modern, but they are clean, functional and with the great location just by this amazing beach you have nothing to complain about. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the food at the hotel restaurant was surprisingly good, and we tried a large variety of the dishes on the menu during the days we stayed there. It is a bit remote, sure, but with the great food in the restaurant at the hotel, very good snorkelling and just a fantastic scenery, there is no problem to spend several days here without a car.

GermanyThere was nothing!
The breakfast is a small open buffet in the tropics plus a choice of variuos egg meals prepared in the kitchen. It perfectly suited my breakfast wishes for 8 days. My standard room had a small terrazza and was just a few metres away from the beach. The Deck is a good restaurant reserved for house guests only for dinner. Think of white table linen under the tropical night sky!!! Awesome! The location of the hotel and the views from the rooms simply are stunning! This is what you expect from the tropics!!!

GermanyEverything about this hotel exceeded our expectations! Everyone in the hotel: the manager, receptionist, cleaning/restaurant staff always welcomed us with a smile and were happy to answer all our questions. The location is incredible, our room was overlooking the Anse Soleil Beach, one of the best beaches on the island (and beyond). Snorkeling gear and kayaks are complimentary at the hotel, which is especially handy considering the beach is a great snorkeling spot. The restaurant is located right next to the beach, providing a great breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner are not included in the price, but we highly recommend them considering they have a lot of local specialties and are great value for money. We would gladly come back!
