How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCharles is an excellent host. The place is exactly as its pictures. It on a hill overlooking the ocean. You can see planes coming in. The home is full of love. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and a full service outdoor kitchen and living space. You will need a car & he has parking available.
Nothing to not like. It checks all the boxes for an authentic Seychelles experience.

Verified reviewFirstly, the accommodation itself is amazing. The view something you only envision in your dreams. As for the host, well the whole family, they went above and beyond. We got a small tour around Victoria with Charles and he brought us to get food. On top of that, I was not feeling well and his son who is a doctor took the time to examine me and spent 2-3 hours at the hospital to get me appropriate medication. Overall, amazing people, breathtaking accommodation. If you don’t book this, you are making a mistake!

Verified reviewUpon arrival everything was positive and an enjoyable experience. 1st I was picked up from the airport at 4:30am arranged by the wonderful host Charles as a courtesy ($50.00 savings on transportation). Once I arrived to 180 Degrees Self Catering, Charles was waiting for me at 5:00am with welcoming vibes. Very professional of him! The property is well maintained, clean and open. I am very picky and was honestly impressed by the accommodations and the host. He takes great pride in his guest house and his own personal property. The property has stunning 180 degree views from the private terrace. The bedroom was enclosed, comfortable and cozy with air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious with soaking tub and shower. The covered outdoor kitchen was amazing with everything you need for cooking with a stovetop, oven and bonus gas grill (fridge indoors). This is upmarket outdoor living at its best(living room, dinning room, kitchen, lounges and full size washer and dryer)! The property is very close to center of town. About a 10 minute ride to markets, shopping and some nightlife.
There was nothing that I didn’t like. I have traveled the world and hands down this property is excellent choice for outdoor people like me!

Verified reviewEverything. Amazing view, amazing room, amazing terrace, kitchen! I was so pleasantly surprised that the whole thing was for us. We decided not to go out to a restaurant that night just so we could spend the whole time enjoying the space. I would definitely recommend.

Verified reviewWonderful experience, due in particular to 2 aspects: the view and Charles, the owner. The room is wonderful, with a very spacious terrace with a wonderful view from the top, this aspect alone guarantees excellence. But the added value of the experience was Charles, the owner. Wonderful person, very kind, always available, both to organize excursions and transfers (he picked us up at the port and often drove us around). Thank you so much Charles for everything, congratulations for the place you created

Verified reviewI had an incredible stay at this apartment! Despite the slightly challenging climb to the mountain, the breathtaking view made it all worthwhile. The apartment itself was incredibly comfortable, and the host's friendliness and helpfulness truly made the experience memorable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay.

Verified reviewThe place has a very nice view, very big veranda with all kitchen amenities, very clean, big bed with proper mattress, big and very clean bathroom. Charles, the landlord, is very friendly and willing to accommodate requests and wishes. He organized airport pickup that is also recommended for Seychelles (taxi overcharging is very common). All and all a nice guy to spend time with.
The only obvious shortcoming derives from the main advantage: the view is great because it's high. The last part of the road to the property is so steep that some cars cannot make it. So, not recommended for walkers of a certain age. But then again, Mahe is not made for walkers anyway. One needs to drive or be driven.

Verified reviewIt was a well equipped house with wonderful hosts. The view was fantastic.
This property has fantastic panoramic view owing to its location on the hill. My wife had knee issues which made it difficult for her to climb there from the bus stop. That was the only downside we faced. If you have rented a car, this won’t be a bother at all.

Verified reviewI loved everything about the place. The host Charles and the wife were really lovely and helpful. We really wanted to stay longer but time was not on our side. The view was everything ❤️ plus the architecture of the house was on another level. For sure my husband and I would would have loved to stay longer than the one night we had. The host Charles also volunteered to come to come pick us up from where we were and that was so nice of him so we didn't have to stress ourselves out of how to reach the place or how to call a taxi 🚖 He also volunteered to take us around incase we wanted to go anywhere. The next morning they organized a taxi driver to take us around( Eden Plaza) and also also bring us back to the accommodation to pick our things and take us again to the airport at a reasonable price 😊 Before I forget they also extended our check out time with one hour and also kept our laggage since our flight was in the evening 😊and with that, we were able to move around freely. We will absolutely recommend the place to anyone. Toiletries were in plenty and also the kitchen had everything including cooking oil, salt......
🤔There's nothing not to like there 😜
