How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewLocation of the hotel is good and love that a very busy street is turned into a pedestrian boulevard on the weekend.
For a luxury brand, it is missing luxury service. I waited nearly 15 minutes to check in as the 2 girls on the desks were busy serving. A supervisor/manager appeared and saw (what was now about 10 people) the situation and clearly decided she was too good to help and went and hid in the back office again. Elements in the room are substandard with the soap and shampoo in the shower being only water as it had been watered down that much, some of the vanity items had clearly been splashed by previous occupants but not removed by housekeeping so the luxury element missing again Housekeeping are extremely noisy. At 8am they can be heard yelling at each other along the corridor,their carts banging into walls and doors. There was rubbish still in yer bin when I checked into moly room,which does question overall attention to detail. Service in Aristocool is average for Romania,staff are friendly but missed the luxury attentiveness required. Drinks arrived slowly. Food here was ok. I had a pizza one night which was average and probably could have found the same or better on the street. The second night I ate the lamb shank, the saffron.risotto was nice but the lamb had no actual flavour, assume it was a ready meal reheated in the kitchen. Food is also expensive for what it appears to be,I.e. pre made and reheated. Overall the hotel is just missing service levels and quality which make it value for money.

The cleaning staff was loud in the morning, yelling at each other from one side of the hallway to another. Plus there was a constant smell of “smoke/burnt food” on the hallway.

Verified reviewLocation. The hotel is a 18-20 minute walking distance from the old town.
It is not a value-for-money hotel. The pillows are very soft and sink almost to the level of the mattress shortly after lying down. Breakfast is ordinary and doesn't offer anything special. The hotel's fitness center is open to external guests. The ceiling is low, it's crowded. The staff member at the fitness desk seems stressed and angry. Maybe she only behaves this to the hotel guests. The hotel's outdoor pool is not free for guests. You may even be warned for bringing in a 0.5-liter bottle of water from outside. Because bringing in drinks from outside is prohibited. Even water! :) Reservations are required for the pool. The white umbrellas do not have SPF protection. Use sunscreen and a hat under the umbrella to protect against sunburn.

Verified reviewThe cocktails at the bar were great, and the location is central if you want to be in the middle of the city. But if you’re looking for a relaxing, five-star experience, look elsewhere.
Our stay was okay, but definitely not a five-star experience. We booked this hotel mainly for the pool facilities, but were disappointed. The indoor pool seemed closed, and the outdoor pool was completely full and off-limits for hotel guests, despite being advertised as available. As we had just returned from Untold Festival, the idea was to relax for a couple of days, but that option was taken away from us. If the pool is not really available to guests, it shouldn’t be advertised. Check-in was underwhelming, no useful information was given about breakfast or facilities, and we felt like an inconvenience asking questions. The valet service was disorganized and the staff not particularly friendly. The room itself was noisy, both from the street and from hotel guests running around at night. The windows had poor insulation, and one night was impossible to sleep due to loud protests/football crowds outside. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were cheap, and the mattress was very hard, leaving us both with sore necks. Cleanliness also left something to be desired: the bathroom had hair and rust in places.
