“Very welcoming hosts, room right opposite the shinkyo bridge, on the bank's of the Daiwa river, making for a picturesque view over an ample breakfast! Quiet & rooms has everything you need for a short stay. Hosts helped us plan activities during our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.”
“Location was great. Near the train stations older hotel but only a quick stopover but had everything we needed, even umbrellas, as we arrived in the rain. Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is a good start for the day.”
“Perfectly located near the major heritage sites in Nikko, and on the main bus route to most of the nature sightseeing (Chusenji Lake, Kegon Falls, Senjogahara marshland). Decently maintained place.”
“This is a fantastic hotel surrounded by nature (mountains, rivers and woods) and transpiring Japanese tradition. The hotel provides an excellent Onsen experience in a 300 year-old ryokan. The setup is essentially Japanese, so expect to sleep in futons, take off your shows and walk on slippers through tatami floor, and have Japanese meals (including breakfast). The kaiseki dinners are an absolute delight, and the outdoor onsen at night is the stuff of dreams.
One may feel a bit daunted by the itinerary to the hotel, but it is truly easy to get there. Taking the Aizu Revaty train from Asakusa to Yunishigawa Onsen you then catch a 15 minute bus which will drop you off in front of the Hotel. All this information was communicated by the hotel ahead of our stay. One important tip: plan to buy the train tickets before the day of your trip, because they can be sold out. I am not sure if these tickets are sold online, so the safest way to buy them in advance is to go the tourist office at Asakusa station.”
“The spa was lovely and convenient and kept spotless. There are vending machines available with soft drinks and beers. There was a microwave so you could heat meal’s brought in from outside which was a life saver. It was a great base to explore the area. Nikkō really is a special place! A visit to the national park is a must.”
“Absolutely perfect, the staff so nice with us. They all know english, and are very helpful.
Food variety makes dinner and breakfast perfect.
I will absolutely repeat.”
