“The communication from the host was excellent.
Spot on directions that also included photos to make it easier.
The annex was equipped with everything you would need, however I had only booked one night to be near the airport to save driving from Reykjavik early in the morning.
I would have been happy to stay longer.
Because of this, I did not use a lot of the facilities or the well stocked cupboards.”
“They offer a variety of campers for different occasions. We’ve got a van for 2 people and it worked perfectly for exploring Iceland. It comes with basic equipment but you can rent everything extra on the site that you might need.”
“It is important to note that, in general, the level of service in Iceland is very low and costs are very high. Therefore, it makes no sense to give very high ratings. A high rating is given if the hotel/apartment is fantastic and equipped with all amenities or if the value for money is exceptional. Neither of these two cases applies in Iceland. The feeling that all tourists have is that they are victims of a system where everyone tries to earn as much as possible in the few months when there is high demand.
The entire hospitality policy is therefore flawed.
Let's move on to the accommodation:
Close to the airport and clean...but very expansive for what you get”
We have more than 70 million property reviews, and they're all from real, verified guests.
How does it work?
1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking
The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
And finally, a review
And finally, a review
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
