“Ulrike and Valentin are very welcoming and communicative. We really enjoyed our stay at their place.
We especially liked the view from the lodge into the sky and the mountains. In the morning we were woken up by the sun which was shining through the upper window.
The entire lodge and also the bathroom is designed in a very modern and contemporary way. The accommodation was absolutely nice and clean. There is little fridge with some non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages which you can buy for a reasonable price. And there are also some restaurants around with good food. You just need to get up early if you want to get breakfast in the morning as most hotels and restaurants are stop serving breakfast at around 9:00-9:30am.
But you can get some coffee from Ulrike and Valentin if you want.”

Everything was spotless and the view was stunning. Breakfast and dinner were homemade, delicious, and very traditional. The hosts were kind, always helpful, and shared interesting stories about Theth. The rooms were very clean and warm inside.
The garden is big, with beautiful green grass perfect for relaxing or camping, and at night the sky is crystal clear full of stars.
The place is very near the main locations you want to visit like “The Tower of Ngujm” and the “Gruna Waterfall”, also the cute church is like 3 minutes away by foot.
They even have games for guests.
Truly a 10/10 experience – highly recommended!”
“We absolutely loved our stay at Shkalla. What a lovely family who really go out of their way to ensure your comfort. We arrived exhausted after a long hike, and while the restaurant at the villa was not open yet, Anamaria was so kind and made us a big salad with cheese and a basket of fresh bread and let me tell you, it was a mouthwatering salad (sounds ridiculous but really, it’s the best produce I ever tasted in a salad). Turned out that vegetables, eggs and chicken come from their garden. You enjoy eating a delicious dinner outside with stunning views and really fresh and organic ingredients. For those who claimed that the property is overpriced in the reviews, I’ve stayed in properties with farm to table concept before and with less impressive views and I paid three times more what I paid for Villa Shkalla. The property deserves every penny spent. Book your stay and make sure you eat there! You won’t regret it. Special thanks to Anamaria who was really wonderful and helpful.”
