“We stayed there one night during our trip to the Lençois. The pousada is relatively newly build with a few quite basic bungalows laid out in a garden, and an open thatched roof common area. The pousada is run by a family, which is very warm and welcoming. As the place is outside of the main street area of Santo Amaro, it is a great plus that they also offer to cook for you. The menu offers freshly cooked very nice local dishes. Just one thing to keep in mind: It takes the host a while to cook for you and some of the other guests – so best to select your order and then agree a time to come back for lunch or dinner. The bed was comfortable with the right hardness, breakfast was very good.”

“We had a very nice experience at Pousada da Mangueira. The property is conveniently located—not in the town center, but on the road leading to all the tours to the lagunas, which makes it a perfect starting point for exploring the Lençóis. The owner, Nelson, is kind and helpful. He came to pick us up directly at the station, showing great care for his guests. He also helped us organize one of the tours we hadn’t planned yet. We appreciated the possibility to take a shower on the last day after the dune tour, even though we had already checked out. The pousada is clean, new, and offers a good breakfast. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. Thank you, Nelson!”
