  • Talek Bush Camp , Masai Mara Review score: 10

“I would highly recommend Talek Bush camp to any of my family and friends. We are a family of 5 and were initially cautious about booking such a big holiday independeptly without a tour operator. We were beyond fortunate to come across the highly regarded and recommended Talek Bush Camp. From the moment of our initial enquiry and correspondence with Abdul we could look forward to our trip without hesitation. He was personally available to answer queries in a very timely manner, and assured us he would organise all our game drives to suit our needs. On arrival we received the warmest of welcomes from the whole team who worked tirelessly to ensure a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for all. The camp itself is very well maintained and offers a most relaxed yet safe vibe. The food was delicious and offered a mix of local, Egyptian and European options. All our dietary requirements including coeliac were met. Each morning we took a fabulous homemade breakfast picnic on safarai . Our driver and guide were exceptional with excellent local knowledge of the park and of all the families of animals within it. The camp is located at the gate of the reserve so we arrived within minutes and well ahead of the early morning sunrise. Our accomadation was most pleaseant, we stayed in a luxury tent overlooking the river, and woke in the morning to the sound of Hippos splashing! Our sons had 2 bedrooms in a lodge. The beds were very comfortable with excellent mosquito nets. Security was never an issue and we never felt a need to lock the rooms. Laundry service was available and very much aprreciated. Overall the experience was immersive and authentic, great value for money and we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Abdul and his team!”

  • Olaloi Mara Camp Review score: 10

“Best camp with the kindest and most friendly people ever!!! ☺️ Benjamin, Wilson, Jonathan and everyone else were very kind and helpful. Additionally, the food made by the extremely talented in-house chef was really amazing!! We were treated with delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, all 3 course meals made from scratch 😍😍 They organised the safari for us as well which was great! Will definitely come back here to stay again !! 😄”

  • “Lovely tranquil location, with tents nestled in the bush, with beautiful views over the local bush. Staff and hospitality amazing, so was the food. Close proximity to the park, together with variety of onsite activities. Loved it”

  • Greenwood safari camp Review score: 8

“The position is excellent, you can't get closer to Talek Gate. It's amazing to have animals wandering around the camp. The staff is very kind and the food is very very good.”

  • Mara Major Camp Review score: 10

“I liked kind of everything. - Personal had family vibe and they all took great care of us. Even it had this family vibe, it felt very professional and it’s visible that everybody went through extensive training. I really liked clarity about everything, small things like dining experiences (serving woman first, always coming from right side, cuttlery arrangment, dishes introductions, …). - The camp itself feels luxurious, clean, romantic and has this “wild feel”. It gave me “camping experience with a luxury”. It feels even more authentic than on photos as wild animals are getting into camp (everything is safe all the time) - we saw zebras feeding like 3 metres from our tent. - Tent itself was amazing, clean, luxurious, great view, very comfy (I did not expect such comfy bed) with electricity and hot water. One thing to which blow my mind was heated watter bottle every night in a bed, so your bed was preheated to nice temperature when getting in 😊 - Food, food was stunning. Some of the dishes I would not be afraid to compare to Mischelin star restaurants, it was that good. Basically whatever you ate, you could not pick wrong. Also what was pleasant was change of scenery for dinners - on one night we had dinner under the stars - very nice experience.”

  • Kambu Mara Camp Review score: 10

“This camp is fantastic. It is in a beautiful location, with gorgeous views. We had zebras wandering up to the perimeter and could hear the hyenas "laughing" at night. The tents were lovely with lights, en-suite, hot water. Everything you could need. Food was delicious and plentiful. Sitting around the campfire, immersed in Mara wildlife sounds with the stars above can not be beaten. I can't recommend this camp enough. Big shout out to Felix, Nelson and Chef Nelson who were the best hosts and couldn't do enough for us.”
