“Lovely Buffet breakfast of cereal, toast, cheeses, cold meats, fruit, yoghurt, tea, orange juice in a comfortable, spacious and airy room, similarly spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated room, lots of advice re local transport and a friendly and welcoming host! My daughter (11) commented that it was the nicest place we have stayed at!”
“I’m conflicted about Aynetree guest house.
To start with the things I really liked about this place. First and foremost, the manager. Excellent guy, very welcoming and was there on check in. Even offered to make me a coffee whilst I got unpacked. A guy you’d go for a pint with any day of the week.
I was put in what is a back extension to the main house out the back.
It was small, but the bed very comfy. Modern clearly with new shower and toilet en-suite.
I have family in Edinburgh and the location is perfect for portobello. If you are visiting, a bus service runs into the town centre, bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.”
“Prime location, located right in the old town. Simple check in. Rooms were clean and place was relatively tidy. Strong value for money given the central prime location.”
