“I’m conflicted about Aynetree guest house.
To start with the things I really liked about this place. First and foremost, the manager. Excellent guy, very welcoming and was there on check in. Even offered to make me a coffee whilst I got unpacked. A guy you’d go for a pint with any day of the week.
I was put in what is a back extension to the main house out the back.
It was small, but the bed very comfy. Modern clearly with new shower and toilet en-suite.
I have family in Edinburgh and the location is perfect for portobello. If you are visiting, a bus service runs into the town centre, bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.”
“How it was so easy to find and the bonus of having a parking area for your cars. Once you enter the property you’ll get blown away with how elegant and beautiful the decor is as well. Owners were quick to respond and were very friendly! Even giving us the chance to check-in earlier after arriving from a long drive. We stayed in the quadruple room that was very extravagant we thought we were in a 5star hotel with the high ceiling, chandelier and the whole interior was just grand! The room had a small fridge, coffee maker with pods and complimentary water in the fridge too. There were bus stops in front and in the road behind, very practical for commutes. We can’t believe that we scored this beautiful place for a great price, We already know where to stay when we come back soon.”
“Been travelling around Scotland for a week , this was the best place we stayed in terms of room and lovely pub. Spacious room , we ate in pub which had a lively atmosphere & the food and drink was good . Staff very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.”
“Rooms and facilities spotlessly clean. Simple room but very comfortable. Helpful communication on arrival.
This is a private flat with two lockable bedrooms and shared lounge/kitchen/bathroom.
Google maps sends you to the wrong place, just search for the house number without the flat number, then call the phone when you arrive.”
“The house is very beautiful, as if it came out of a novel. It’s cosy and inviting. The location is great, just two-three minutes away from public transport or 30 minutes away from the city centre if you don’t mind walking. Great place, amazing service and very clean.”
